COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed from a combination of 8 different malts then served on nitro, Red Rock's Oatmeal Stout is quite a hit for those looking for a medium to full bodied Ale. Our Oatmeal Stout boasts a roasted flavor with malty characteristics. With its slight chocolate, coffee characteristics and silky smooth finish, Oatmeal Stout pairs beautifully with a sweet dessert such as our delectable cheesecake!

Draft flight-12/01-Pours black with a small head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Taste of the same. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and goes down easy.

Had on draft at the brewery. The aroma is strongly, butter, lactic acid, and roasted malts. The flavor is much cleaner them the aroma should lead me to believe. Flavors of chocolate, cookie, earthy. The aroma really detracts from the beer.

Dark ruby with a twinkle, light brown foam, sticking to lip and lacing to glass. Aroma is chocolate, but more so coffee. Taste is dark coffee and chocolate, some bread. Long lasting aftertaste with slight bitter tones. Drank this at brewery pub, so all OK (Salt Lake City 201208) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had this at the Downtown location. Received in a pint glass. 4.5 A: Black. Creamy beige nitro head that lasts forever. 4.0 S: Oats and tons of chocolate. Light roastiness. Pretty impressive in the intensity department given the nitro. 2.5 T: Taste is mega boring. Light roast, no chocolate, and faint oats. Boring here. Whether it would be better on CO2 is something to ponder. 2.0 M: Light body. Low creaminess despite the nitro. 2.5 D: Not a huge fan of this and I generally hate nitro anyway. Needs more malt. Colour was a delicious looking dark brown with gray overtones, and a wonderfully thick head. Nose was quiet....some coffee and nuts but I expected more. Taste: medium sweet, medium bitter, light sour. Mix of chocolate, coffee and a hint of corn. Basic but good.

on nitro in park city 7/21/10. dark porter brown color with a lasting nitro head of tan. it smells of dusty oats, florals and roast...that’s it. luckily it tastes better (or more anyway)... dust, roast, metal, barley and a touch of nuttiness. watery medium body with a flat nitro mouth feel. 4/3.5/6/2/13/2.85

Draft @ Brewpub: Dark brown, creamy head. Nose of roast and clean oats. Nice chewy body. Some thin hops and fruit in the tail. Falls flat in the finish though, no body. Sorry utah laws.

Draught at the brewpub. Black, small coarse beige head. Heavily roasty coffee aroma. Sweet and well rounded with medium body. Flavours of mocca and dark chocolate lead to a short salty finish. The one beer at Red Rock that did not feel edgy.

On tap (nitro) at the brewpub
Appearance: Dark brown, almost black, with a fluffy off white head
Aroma: Toasted malts, chocolate
Taste: Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate
A bit watery mouthfeel, but it is good.
