Slight hop bitterness, light copper color. The Steamer is brewed with lager yeast but fermented at ale temperatures. This uniquely American brewing style results in a crisp, heavily hopped, but well balanced brew that has an impressive head. In the early days, a cask of this lively beer released a heavy mist when tapped, hence the term 'steam', a bit of hostory in a glass!

This one is lacking a lot. Doesn't have the mouthfeel I crave. Light nutty flavor. Fading head. Not to great a steamer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft flight 9/02-Pours a copper body with a small head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and grains. Taste of the same with a slight sourness added in. This medium bodied brew is not bad.

On draft at the brewery. Pours copper in color with thin dissipating head. Caramel, grainy, floral/earthy hops. A noticeable bitterness in the finish. I find this to be really tasty.

Pint enjoyed at the Red Rock Restaurant on 11/02/2012 in Kimball Junction, Utah. Colour: Light yellow with minimal head. Nose: Straw, seaweed & salt. Taste: light sweet, medium-light bitter, light sour. Light hops show very salty-vegetable like notes. I could pick out celery. Easy drinking but simply lacking the hop-pop that is fabulous in steam-style beer.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2008 On tap at the brewpub in SLC. Pours a crystal clear golden body with a medium sized white head. The aroma is light malts and some caramel with a hint of banana. The taste was nicely balanced between a rich malt with caramel sweetness, and a nice crisp hop finish that is slightly bitter. A slight yeast aspect, and overall a nice medium body with a lot of carbonation. Interesting style that I enjoy.
