Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular
Complex, award winning dark copper ale with a robust mouthfeel approaching an old ale, but less cloying. Sweetish, but the malt does not cancel out the long hoppy satisfying finish. CAMRA Accrington overall winner 2003.

Cask @ National Winter Ales Festival 2009. A brown beer with no head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, herbs, fruits, and nuts - weird.

Cask @ National Winter Ales Festival 2009, Manchester. Pours a clear dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy dark fruit aroma. Sweetish malty berry chocolate flavor with some bitterness. Has a fruity malty chocolate finish with a bitter aftertaste.

Cask at the Manchester Winter Ales festival. Darkish brown with pretty much no head. Little fruit and malts and other flavours I can’t put my finger on. Smooth palate. Tasty indeed.

A Mes rate. Gravicask at National Winter Ale festival. Dark chestnut coloured with no head. Fruity dark malt with some light spice and some really good chalky chocolate in the finish. Pleasant yet restrained sweet alcohol notes throughout. Lovely creamy palate. Like it.

Cask at National Winter Ales Festival, Manchester 2008 Dark brown in colour with roasted malts and some coffee notes. This was a pretty decent drop, quite porter like, and quite a filling beer. The alcohol was well hidden but started to be noticeable at the end. Not bad.

Bottle conditioned. Dark brown and red with a cream head. Aromas are malty and earthy, quite rooty and herbal with sweet floral notes. Flavours are sweet and earthy. Liquorice and blackberry notes with mellow spices and some sourness towards the finish.
