Cask@The Criterion, Leicester. Dark golden beer with a good head. The aroma is mildly hopped, and the flavour is dry and quite deeply hopped and bitter. Overall a nice hoppy bitter.

Sampled @ GBBF day 1. Cloudy pale yellow color, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, indeed nicely packed full of hops, quite piney and grassy with a nice grassy, light piney hop finish. Decent body an carbonation. Nice.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at the Nags Head, Reading. A pale amber pour with a ring of white head; aroma of fresh leafy hops; rather thin with a fruity hop taste; and a peppery bitterness; then a dry, rather acrid finish.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap, pours a lightly hazy medium yellow with a nice off white head. The smell is very delicate floral hops, mild citrus, light toasted grain. The taste is light citrus, little mild butter off taste, ending with a touch of bitterness. Light bodied with fairly active carbonation.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at The Earl Grey Inn, Leek. A clear pale golden colour with a thin but lasting white head. Aroma is fruity of lemon, grapefruit, some orange peel, maybe elderflower and grassy, floral hops. Taste of sweet lemon, grapefruit, orange, some caramel initially then dry, dusty, grassy, floral hop flavours. Light bodied but a watery texture. A dry, light floral hop bitterness in the finish. A very easy drinking, hoppy golden ale. Not bad.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Keg tap at the Grain & Hop Store, Cambridge. Light yellow, almost straw. Light but pleasant grapefruit/lemon aroma. Nicely balanced bittersweet taste. Buttering hops more assertive in the finish. Hint of sweet spice. Well-judged amount of carbonation (I.e. Not too much but enough to add to the palate). Pretty good.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Keg at Urban Tap House, Cardiff. Pours golden with white head. Pretty bog standard gold, some dryness from the hops. Keg dispense may have killed some of the flavour, underwhelming.

Very subtle aroma. Nothing prepares you for the taste. Which isn't that pleasant. Quite a yellow, green colour.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pint at the Mailbox, lincoln. Hazy deep golden colour with creamy white head. The aroma has the hops you’d expect with a name like this, however for me the taste doesn’t have the balance or deepth of flavour found in good well hoped beers, just a very bitter taste with a lingering aftertaste. Maybe a half was the better option.
