Cask at the Haymarket. Pours clear dark red-brown, thin beige head. Aromas of milk chocolate and nuts. Taste is more chocolates, light roast. Medium body, creamy texture. Good.

Gravity cask@wirral beer festival, port sunlight. Black beer with small head. Aroma of cocoa powder and roast malts. Taste is toast malts, chocolate, dark fruits, a little licorice and cream. Good stuff.

Cask @ Goodman’s Field, JDW, Aldgate E1. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish with hints of caramel.

Bottle from Chesham Brewery Shop, Chesham, Bucks. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Roasty, malty, coffee aroma. Tastes roasty, malty, coffee, slight bitterness. An OK porter.

330ml bottle. Black-brown colour, foamy beige head leaving lots of lacing and aroma of roast malt, coffee and chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, burnt notes, dark fruity, coffee, cocoa. Medium bodied, soft to medium bodied, dry roasted bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Light black with a good sized tan covering that retains well.
Nose is roast malt, light smoke, dark malt, charred wood, dark toffee, earthy cocoa.
Taste comprises cocoa powder, light smoke, dark toffee twang, hint of wood, light liqourice, hint of vanilla.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close.
Solid enough porter.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is creamy caramel roasted malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a slightly watery malt liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A superb porter I must say and my first Red Squirrel beer.
