Half pint, festival beer, 4.2 % abv, gravicask from the stage bar at St Albans Beer Festival 2014. Film type layer at the top of a clear golden coloured body. Sweaty hops and dough to the nose. Juicy malts and lemony hops to the taste buds followed by a drying malt-fruity ending. Straightforward (shared with Finn, 25.09.2014).

Fra gravity-cask på St Albans Beer & Cider festival 25 Sep 14. Lys gylden. Nesten ikke skum. God syrlig fruktaroma. Smaken er jordbær & sitrusfrukt. Bra øl!

Had this in bottle at Scott & Mandys, Dumbleton, Glos/Worcs border, Sunday 7th August 2014 picked up at Morrisons, Tewkesbury, Glos Pours gold but a little murky/hazy, a white head sits atop. A fairly safe but hoppy golden ale, I note its a little past its BBdate. Furry hops and a dryness at end. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear light amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is grassy nettle citrus hop. The flavour is light bitter with a yeasty, zesty citrus, light barnyard, light spice, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Nice and refreshing, but i’d prefer just a little more citra!

Bottle shared at Garbage Night II - London. Many thanks to Fergus for this GA. Pours perfectly clear yellow-gold, lightly effervescent with a frothy white head. Enticing aroma with pleasant citrus, lemon, pineapple and papaya. Light sweet flavor with biscuity pale malts, relaxed citrusy hops, light dough, lemon, melon. Light bodied with fine to average, massaging carbonation. Nice balance to finish with balancing pale malt sugars, some lemon, mild rindy bitterness. Solid little golden ale.

Bottle thanks to Fergus. It pours clear golden with a medium white head. The nose is lemon peel, sherbet, icing sugar and dough. The taste is crisp, doughy, grassy, citrus peel, sherbet, sweetish and light bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Alright.

Bottle from the brewery. First thing I’d say is that the bottles are not as good as the cask beers from RS. Not sure why but they lack the same depth of flavour. Bottle conditioned? Don’t know. Try ’em on cask. This was a clear chestnut brown beer with a medium white head. Nose is lemon and citrousy hops, floral. Taste is citrousy and lemony, but it’s a bit thin on flavour.

Bottle from the Red Squirrel Chesham Brewery Shop on 30 September. Poured a golden amber colour with a thin white head. Aroma of raisins, orange peal and some floral hops. Citrus hop flavours with some candy sugar and mango. Finishes with grapefruit, lemon grass and spongecake. Lots of flavour for the limited alcohol content.
