4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Gravity cask at Harpenden Beer Festival on 26th Jun 2009. Crystal clear, pale gold session ale with an off white head that lasts and laces to a moderate extent. A nutty initial aroma soon gives way to a complex hoppy bouquet of grass, dry citus and herb notes. The lively, textured mouthfeel drives a thirst for more. Finish is long and intensely bitter, herby and hoppy. This ale is exquisite.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: OCT 24, 2009 Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Peterboro BF 2008. A golden coloured beer with lots of citric notes in the nose and mouth. Oranges and lemons feature, although the oranges are very fleshy and not particularly juicy. Some sugary sweetness with the sticky malts. A odd melange of flavours, but oddly endearing.Score 3.2

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask, gravity, at Peterborough BF ’08. Coppery gold with a small off white head. Aroma had very faint background chocolate. Oily rather clothy taste, quite bitter. Odd but acceptable.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask in the Whole hog. Aroma is nutty malt with peppery citrus hop. Taste is far more floural with the citrus kickin in, but quite well balanced and tasty.
