3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask@Reading BF. Fairly dry and lightly acidic, with some light mocha and chocolate towards the end, it was quite light however, so it lost a few marks for that. Yeah.... a little thin.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On cask at the Worcester Beer Festival. Quite a nice stout. Jet black with quite a smooth oily taste. Bitter finish but I would have liked to taste more malt.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I liked this one. Espresso coffee and old leather aroma. Lots of smoky coffee and bitter chocolate flavours. Dry and bitter finish. Rich mouthfeel. Very nice. Cask (gravity), Cambridge Beer Festival

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bright bottled @ Cambridge Fest. Fresh notes: "Huge chocolate stout with a refreshing red berry crispness, though the finish is a bit muddled. Score: 2.8" Well this has also matured nicely. The first gulps were really dark and bitter, more like an Irish Stout, but then the palate adjusts and the red fruits soften things down and allow the chocolate flavours to be enjoyed. Finish is still a bit muddled. Nice dark red colour. Muddled aroma.
