Commercial Description:
This beer is a unique fruit beer inspired by those from Belgium. We added 126 lbs of raspberry puree to a Belgian-style brown ale giving this beer a nice raspberry flavor and aroma, and a subtle hint of chocolate in the finish.

Notes from ABC fest 06. Pours a murky turbid brown with some slight amber highlights and fizzy white head which leaves a bit of lace. Fresh picked raspberries, raspberry jam- fruity esters, and light chocolate nutty hints in the aroma with more chocolate in the flavor to balance the slight tartness of the berries in the end. Overall- this one is loaded up with berry flavor- thcik sweet and toasted malts and a dry chocolate nutty finish with light bitterness.

Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a deep mahogany color with a medium off-white head with good lasting power. Thin stringy lacing. Aroma of raspberries and malt. Medium bodied and fully tart with raspberry being the dominant flavor. Some roasted malt and sweet spices make it interesting. The finish is fruity and lasting. This turned out very good.

Wow! One of the best offerings from this brewer in a long time. Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a dark brown color with a hint of a reddish hue and a small white head that fades quickly. The aroma is sweet berry and is tangy and spritzy. Very pleasant. The flavor is strong sweet raspberry that fades into a sweet Belgian-esque middle with a hint of roasty malts and a very long tart and tangy finish. Marvelous!
