Nate (2253), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2005 Just as ’Juniper Wit’. Good spicy Belgian wit aroma. Clove and allspice, pepper, juniper and bitter orange peels. Light brett and grass. Hazy golden yellow with thin foamy white lacing head. Medium body with medium smooth carbonation. Start with nice bitter orange peel and citrus oil, coriander. Light grass and pepper, wheat. Medium sweetness and good bitterness throughout. Mild bitter finish wiht light alum bitter and pepper after; most likely the juniper. FROTHINGSLOSH (1509), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 15, 2005 Updated: Jun 24, 2006I have rarely found any Wits brewed in North America that I have been particularly fond of. This beer is a wonderful exception to that experience. Served on draft at the brewery this beer pours the traditional cloudy pale yellow color of the Wit style, with a large white head. The aroma is dry, grainy, and has a light fruity and spicy undertone. The flavor is dry, wheaty, and has a vague fruit and spice undertone that is rather pleasant yet fairly hard to describe. In tasting it I would not have guessed Juniper if I had not been told, but the flavor is quite unique and pleasant - and overall stays very true to the Wit style.
