Nate (2254), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 20, 2005 On draught at the brewery. Sweet molasses and raw buckwheat honey aroma. Light carbonic gassiness and floral hops. Medium brown-amber clear body with thin off-white lacing head. Medium watery body with medium-smooth carbonation. Starts with decent malty sweetness. Molasses, buckwheat honey. Floral hop bitterness and mild acidity. Less dry than traditional alt. Finish is grainier and more sweet. Bitterness increases at the finish but isn’t harsh. Dry bitter after. FROTHINGSLOSH (1509), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 18, 2005 Updated: Jun 28, 2006Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a medium brown color with a large tan head. The aroma is dry and rather grainy. The flavor is strong with dry dark malts evident and a mild floral hop undertone. Quaffable but not particularly interesting.
