Commercial Description:
This Irish Dry Stout is multi-award winning. It took the Silver at the 1999 Great American Beer Fest. It took a Gold at the State College Micro Brewer's Expo. It is quite simply: creamy, dry and roasty.

Pretty decent stout. They usually have this. It is a local favorite definately worth trying. not too much aroma and can be unagreeable with the stomache.

Draft sample at brewpub. Pours dark black with dark khaki head. Sweet, smoky and roasty nose. Flavors of coffee, mild lactose sweetness and mild smokiness. Notes of chocolate and caramel. Tasty

Sample at the brewpub. Jet black color with medium and frothy khaki head. Thin, spotty lacing. Roasted coffee aroma, with hints of malt in the background. On the thin side and very smooth-bodied. Coffee and malt flavors are there but not very pronounced. The finish is dry and mildly bitter with a coffee aftertaste. Not bad, but could definitely use some more flavor and maybe a higher ABV.

Chocolate and coffee bitter smokiness. Good dry bitter hop notes, with roasted malts, dry and toasty. Dark black clear with light tan creamy lacing head. Medium to light bodied with smooth carbonation, under nitro. Starts dry and roasty with bittersweet chocolate and burnt coffee. Light sweetness of malt, malted chocolate milk and dry nuttiness. Finish is smooth bitter and mildly sweet. Bit of carbonic acidity but smooth overall, almost milky. Nice dry stout.

Nothing too special for a stoudt. this beer could use more body. It does have a smoothness to it from the nitrogen.
