Red Star Kriekbier

I am a big fan of fruit beers in general. Draft only this beer pours a light reddish color with a large pink-white head. The aroma is fruity - though a bit vague. I would not have guessed cherry if I did not know in advance. The body is light and smooth. The flavor is nicely fruity but not overwhelming and there is a nice light malt presence underneath. The finish is a bit dry and tart. This beer is less sweet than I would have expected. Another nice experiment by the Red Star crew.
