COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Red Stripe Light is D&G’s alternative to the original. It has a smoother taste, and besides having a lower alcohol content, it is also ’less’ of a beer as it comes in 10.5 oz. bottles.

translucent straw with no head; sticky light body with high carbonation.

aroma: pale malt sweetness, oily corn, funky high gravity esters.

taste: funky fruit flavors, oily adjunct sweetness, hints of pale malt and leafy hop bitterness.

1/30/11. vibrant sunshine yellow color. it smells a lot like bad sake... rice, florals and honeydew along with cardboard, grain husk and canvas. the flavor is the same and rather harsh. the mouth feel is crisp but it has a starchy texture. 5/2/4/2/9

Bottle. Piss yellow pour with a white head. Aroma and taste of grainy funk. Just gross.

11.2 ounce stubby bottle. Pours a light golden yellow with a thin quarter inch white head that lasts. Lots of carbonation. Taste is of some malt, corn and grain. Has a similar light clean aroma. The body is slightly thin and on the watery side. Refreshing and easy to drink. Not a bad summer beer, but I prefer the normal Red Stripe better.

Just another pale macro lager. This one is for the dieters. No head, no lace and a pitiful watery flavour. If you go to Jamaica, there surely must be a rum drink you can afford.

Faint sweetness and not much else in the aroma, the appearance is so pale its almost closer to water than beer. The flavor is watery and has slightly grainy. No redeeming qualities to this.

No head, no lace, no flavor, faintest yeast aroma, palest yellow color, barely any alcohol. Wow, a new low. A bad taste might be worse, but it’s hard to call this beer.

Tastes like a watered down Red Stripe, which brings out the metallic taste more than the original.
