11.2 oz bottle...whatever that means. Pours a pale yellow/gold color. Hardly an aroma. No hop flavor whatsoever. Goes down like water...I could drink 24 of these and still drive home.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 puboflyons (1111) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 28, 2010
From the 11.2 fl. oz. stubby bottle. It pours a well carbonated pale yellow with a burst of about an inch of fizzy white head that settles to a ring. Grass, malts, adjuncts merge in the aroma with a thinkly hopped background. The body is thin but typical for a light beer. The taste also combines grass and malts but it has less of a macro quality than other nationally known beers.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Ughsmash (5631) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 14, 2010
Hand grenade-shaped 11.2 oz bottle. Poured bright golden with a short, sticky cap of white head and rising bubbles. The aroma picked up not a whole lot.. some grass and straw notes over pale malts was about it.. smelled like it was going to be airy and refreshing. The flavor found pale malts and a little flaked corn at the core.. light grassy bitterness and lemon again on the edges.. very weak overall, but well-balanced for what it was. Light-bodied on the palate.. higher carbonation kept it from feeling watery (well.. actually it didn’t feel unlike sparkling water).. overall crisp and refreshing.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 fidelis83 (1262) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - DEC 1, 2010
Pale yellow pour with a tall, fluffy white head that has great retention and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is cereal, sweet grass, a bit of toast, fermenting corn and cooked rice. Flavor is sweet cereal, grass, mineral and creamed corn. Palate is light bodied and fairly neutral throughout with a very light carbonation, must have wasted it all creating that huge head. It’s not like I poured it very violently either, weird. Lame pale lager as expected.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 taphandle (991) - Texas, USA - NOV 11, 2010
Clear, yellow, and a good head. Aroma and taste is like the many industrial lagers before it, but it’s not skunked!
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 morrdt (646) - Dirty Mo’, North Carolina, USA - NOV 2, 2010
12 oz. single stubby brown bottle from a friend’s fridge here in the Dirty Mo. Light yellow coloring, aroma is very light. Taste is actually a bit nice, as compared to the harshness that his the regular Red Stripe. Nothing weird on the aftertaste either. Decent.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 gururyan (304) - Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA - OCT 30, 2010
If you’ve just done a few Bob Marley shots at the pool bar and are floating around the pool or ocean, these go down just fine.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 GJF (973) - Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA - OCT 24, 2010
It’s smooth, almost no hop quality to it, and very thin. Light in all senses of the word. There’s not a bad taste to it, but not much taste at all. I guess I just wonder why.
