Red Stripe Light is D&Gís alternative to the original. It has a smoother taste, and besides having a lower alcohol content, it is also ílessí of a beer as it comes in 10.5 oz. bottles.

Light straw color; Light slightly body; Aroma and flavor of slight sweet malt, grain, and some cereal; Fairly bland; Overall, nothing offensive - just not much here.

Pale yellow. Extremely light hints of malt in an otherwise thin and watery flavor. Barely beer.

This is a typical, yellow macro beer. There would be no reason to drink this instead of any other light beer. Now, when you are in a pool bar at your resort in Jamaica, it would be rude to drink a Miller Lite, so the Red Strip Light is the perfect beer. This beer is the reason for regional beers. We should not be able to get everything everywhere. Enjoy this beer on the island, but drink your own silly light beer whereever you happen to be at that time...

Looked like a beer I havent rated so picked up a sixer. Aroma smells like normal bmc. Gold body with whie head. Flavor has some corn and barley to to but not much more. Not a very refreshing brew.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a pale clear yellow with minimal head. Aroma of corn and grains. Taste is about the same. I actually wasnít paying attention when picking up a 6pk of Red Stripe for my lady and got this instead. She thought I was trying to tell her something and got mad...go figure. Overall, itís like most other crappy light beers. Nothing to write home about.

Red Stripe Light has a very thin, white head and a clear, golden appearance with streaming bubbles and almost no lacing. The aroma is of sweet barley, paper, and a slight spiciness. Taste is of sweet biscuit, paper, a touch of hops, and water. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Red Stripe Light finishes crisp, refreshing, and dry. Overall, this is a better-than-average light beer. RJT

Corn nose. Crystal clear yellow, thin head. Weak lemony tang. Nothing objectionable, nothing much of anything at all. Unremarkable.

Sample at KC Beerfest 10-22. Comes pale yellow with an average white head. Faint aroma of grain and malt. Taste is watered down grain and malt. Not much here at all.

Not too shabby but I happen to like Red Stripe. Clean dry malts, not much in the way of hops, just a touch of balance at the finish. A good pale lager here. Pale golden yellow.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2015 Drank directly from bottle. Standard light lager characteristics. Virtually no hops aroma. Essentially a thinner, watered-down version of regular Red Stripe. Bland, but still has an alright dry finish. Fine on the beach if itís really cold. Better than Bud Light and the like, and definitely a cooler-looking bottle.
