COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 1938.
It is a light alcohol drink with not too strong bitterness but rather soft taste; therefore, it’s easy to drink it up.
Brewed for the UK market by Charles Wells since 1976.
Brewed for US market at City Brewery’s Latrobe plant since 2012.

The best thing about this beer is the short squatty bottles with the painted on labels. None of that kick I love from the hopps, weak, too sweet and unbalanced, though the carbonation helps me with some kick the flavor lacks. Has the aroma of an old gym, but I'd still drink it over about half of the grocery store beers.

Pale and lacking much head. Light bodied and slightly doughy. A bit too fizzy to be refreshing. Clean finish. A nice alternative to BMC. Cool bottles.

Drinkable, but nothing special...mild aroma, not unpleasant, but not outstanding either. Cool squat bottles :D

Weak and watery, another lager for a hot summer day in Jamaica, not London, had it recently during the Cannibal corpse gig in Camden , it was one out of 3 choices of beer during the venue.

Just a bit darker in color than most Pilseners. First taste is tart followed by an astringent aftertaste. Very little head, active bubbles, just the hint of lace.

Just an OK lager. Nothing special and at the same time nothing really awful either. I had a bunch of these in Jamaica recently. Pours yellow with a white foamy head. aroma is sometimes skunky and not skunky. Overall, the taste is clean and crisp. neat bottle

I thought this be a big screw up just as Jamaican English is, but it wasn't bad. This is probably the only good thing ever to come out of Jamaica. I would need to drink a few kegs of it before I would be drunk enough to sleep with that revolting Jamaican pig Ms. Cleo.

Good heavens this was bad. Gold no head. Smelly chemical water. Sweet flavours and adjuncty. It's not only dull, it tastes bad. Stubbies are cute and painted on labels are hot. There is nothing great about this beer. Every country has to have a boring lager. Thanks Heineken!

nice lager, i've only found it in a bottle. very light lager and almost perfect amount of carbonation. Try Red Stripe with a Green Olive in it (Awesome!)

(Bottled, BBE 08/2004) Typical lager color and head. Slightly skunky corn aroma. Sweetish taste with very little malt and a very clear corn presence. Light-bodied, watery palate with a fizzy carbonation. Might go down for thirst in the Jamaican heat, but it's pretty useless where I live. In summary: A quite typical American Standard brew. And a great way to celebrate my 400th rating here!:)
