COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 1938.
It is a light alcohol drink with not too strong bitterness but rather soft taste; therefore, it’s easy to drink it up.
Brewed for the UK market by Charles Wells since 1976.
Brewed for US market at City Brewery’s Latrobe plant since 2012.

It's really just another drinkable, light-bodied summer beer from the tropics... there's nothing special about Red Stripe. It seems to go well as a party beer, however.

Capping off a trifecta of horrid beers in one night with everyone's favorite Jamaican beer. Got handed this one before the end of the night, at least it's drinkable. One point for the bottle design.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2011 Blond lager with a small head. Sweet light floral buttery aroma. Yeasty buttery short taste. Light bitter finish. Short aftertaste. In spite of some short commings I liked this beer, at least on this one occassion.

A very "normal" beer. Only highlight is the little spike of malt that reminds me a little of a samuel adams. definantly mass produced. If only I could give points for the fun bottle.

I guess this one would be perfect in the sun in Jamaica. It's really thin, one notch over water.

Bottled. Light yellow with a poor head. No aroma! Tiny malt flavor...then nothing...!

If this is sitting between the piles of Michelob and Coors Lite, buy it. It's really not bad for what it is. It still has that standard macrobrew chemical smell, though. Mmmm preservatives.

This is a beer that is definitely meant to be served cold on a hot day. Cheap smelling aroma and flavor, with a corny sweetness abound.

the first thing i thought when i got this in a bar was "boy, that's the smallest frickin' mouth i've ever seen on a bottle." i gave it a point for appearance because of the painted label. at first swig (you swig crappy beer, not sip or savor it) i was like..."this is kinda on the bad side but it's not horrible." after a few more swigs, i was like "ok, this is horrible."

Clear, fresh taste, but nothing outstanding about the flavor. Lots of carbonation too.
