First brewed in 1938.
It is a light alcohol drink with not too strong bitterness but rather soft taste; therefore, it’s easy to drink it up.
Brewed for the UK market by Charles Wells since 1976.
Brewed for US market at City Brewery’s Latrobe plant since 2012.

Clear gold color with a medium white head. Fairly strong hop aroma with a background of bread. Taste is mainly of hops and finish is dry. More flavorful than the Macros but the dryness would make it difficult to drink more than one.

A pretty popular choice for the locals; it's like a graduation for Pabst drinkers into imports.

Nothing special about this beer. Just another anonymous American beer; watered down, some taste, needs to be cold. Nothing *bad* about this brew, so I'll give it some points on that.

This is a very average typical mass-market beer. Not complex enough for my taste, I can think of much better summer beers.

This is a good summer beer especially on a beach somewhere. This was a featured drink in the blockbuster hit Kokomo. A great bottle and an average beer.

LiebeBier (808) - Annapolis, Maryland, USA - APR 6, 2003
This was the best choice at a bar with not many choices. Red Stripe does have more flavor than Bud and Miller and the bottles shape is cool, but it is still a fairly watered down, uninteresting beer.

HarmonKill-a-Brew (407) - Wilmar, Arkansas, USA - APR 5, 2003
This is pretty good beer, but way overpriced. Nice aroma... the appearance of the beer itself is pretty average, but it gets an extra point with me because of the cool bottle. A nice thirst-quencher, but only if someone else is buying. Much better stuff out there for the same or less money.

No strong after taste, take time to paint on the label. Goes down smooth. Not for the average beer drinker. More of an aquired taste. But a definite must at every venue from a bar to a wedding.

   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 12/20
Frank (3016) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 3, 2003
Straw yellow in color. Very thin but lingering head. Semi-sweet malty aroma. Crisp carbonation. Refreshing sour notes. An above average American standard.

   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 7/20
duece (103) - Waterford, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 25, 2003
Pleasent aroma and start, but slightly sour and way too strong on the finish.
