First brewed in 1938.
It is a light alcohol drink with not too strong bitterness but rather soft taste; therefore, it’s easy to drink it up.
Brewed for the UK market by Charles Wells since 1976.
Brewed for US market at City Brewery’s Latrobe plant since 2012.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2005 Mostly a cardboard hops aroma/flavor. A little sweet. Fuller bodied than a typical American Standard. May be good on a hot summer day.

Pale yellow with a big white head. Nasty malt aroma. Flavor is sweet, malty and much better than the aroma.

Deep straw in color with a small white head that diminishes quickly. Aroma is of floral and grassy hops and corn. Flavor is moderately bitter, starts lightly sweet and finishes clean and dry.

Corn and malt aroma. Smoother then the other lagers I have had, little noticable carbination. Real watered down, just like most lagers. Might as well rate it though.

Saw it sitting on the shelf at a bar and figured it was about time to get around to giving the stuff a rating. Fizzy yellow, smells like corn, tastes like adjuncts. Not at all good, and the carbonation bites at your tongue. Having said all that, I've had some good times with ice cold Red Stripes out of a bucket on a hot summer day with friends. Something about the bottle I guess.

They don't really drink this in Jamaica do they? Skunky, watery and metalic taste. Maybe it's better lounging on the beach, but it wasn't for me.

Weak aroma. Not very good dark look. Taste is alright first jamacian beer I've ever had. Not a bad beer not really worth the money you spend for it though.

Blond color; no head. Paper-like, evident corn, poor. A useless beer.

I probably drank about 10 bottles of the Rasta urine over the course of last weekend. After every swig I took I remember thinking to myself, “what a shitty ass lager, or whatever the hell it’s supposed to be……. Rastafarian wizz?"
Anyway, I figured that I may as well give this pisser a rate just for the purpose of burning some time at work today.
Crystal clear light golden body, very short lived white fizzy head, light aroma if any at all, of sugar water and a nip of lemon zest. The malt was week and the hops were almost nonexistent…. A little bit of white bread likeness. If the Red Stripe hand not been $10 for a bucket of 6 beers, there was not a chance I would have picked it off the menu.
This beer SUCKS harder than a Hoover Wind Tunnel!
