| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Jan 9, 2009 Light yellow beer with thin white head. Aroma is typically lager, slightly musty and metallic and hint of sweet malts. Flavour is very light but luckily there is some malts in the beginning. Lot of carbonation with thin body makes this very light to drink. Tasteless and watery lager and I can’t find positive things at the finnish winter; maybe under the caribian sun the Red Stripe could be offer something more? BeerBunker (607), Burbank, Illinois, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 8, 2009 24oz bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a fizzy white head. Malt, corn, grass, and weak hop. Taste of malt, corn, grass, honey, and I swear there were some hops in there. Light, watery mouthfeel as expected. Crisp, light, and refreshing. It’s not good by any means, but It’ll get the job done. danielcurtis81 (885), San Diego, California, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 5, 2009 Bottle. What can you say. OK for a pale lager. Light, crisp clean, refreshing. That is what they are for, not much taste to speak of. Hooray! ChainGangGuy (2551), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 4, 2009 $1.29 12 oz. stubbie single at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
After some years of viewing commercials where a Jamaican guy sells beer in little, brown, squashed-down bottles and ends his commercial my shouting "HOORAY BEER!" it’s time to give Red Stripe another try.
Appearance: Pours a clear, yellow body with a large, foamy, white head. Rather nice lacing, I must say.
Smell: Faintly sweetish nose smelling of light pale malts, spicy hops, and maize (akin to smelling a Frito corn chip).
Taste: Light pale malts, yes, a bit corny, and with a light amount of sweetness. Mild spicy hop character and bitterness. Finishes sweetish and crisp. Slight metallic hint lingers into the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Sure, there’re better lagers, but there are also far, far worse ones to be found. The metallic aftertaste definitely mars it’s overall drinkability, but, beyond that, it’s really just another pale lager. dkachur (2351), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 30, 2008 The ubiquitous 12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market,
Charlottesville... not that the location is important. Pours a
light golden color with a medium fizzy head, very poor head
retention and no lacing. Very grassy aroma with some sweet corny
notes. Taste is almost the opposite. Sweet corn and sweat with
some bitter grassy notes in the finish. Decent for a mass
produced pale lager. badlizard (2339), Berkeley, California, USA
