First brewed in 1938.
It is a light alcohol drink with not too strong bitterness but rather soft taste; therefore, it’s easy to drink it up.
Brewed for the UK market by Charles Wells since 1976.
Brewed for US market at City Brewery’s Latrobe plant since 2012.

Clear, fresh taste, but nothing outstanding about the flavor. Lots of carbonation too.

Crystal clear, deep golden brew with a quickly vanishing white head. The aroma is of leather and alcohol, butterscotch and corn. Flavor-wise, not much going on, but certainly not repulsive. A touch on the sweet side. Light-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and lively carbonation.

This one was served in a bottle and the aroma was inaccesible. When I glanced in the bottle it looked like it was full of water. Not much better in the flavor dept. There were hints of mint or anise but not much else. Leave this one on the islands for the tourists.

Bottled at Tucker's Pub in Wildwood, NJ. A non-offensive beer. Little better than some American american standards. Tasted what it should be.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2007 July 2007. Bottle from Jamaica c/o Barnes, who was on his honeymoon. Crisp yellow body with a moderate fluffy white head and a half hearted attempt at lacing on the glass. Muted sweet grainy aroma very light notes of cooked vegetables. Flavour starts sweet with dilute grains and a hint of the cooked vegetables in the undercurrents. Finish has a light bitterness. Average palate feels a bit more full bodied than many of its macro counterparts. I can see drinking one of these at a swim up bar on the resort, but then I’d be more inclined to reach for a rum and coke, or some kind of frozen fruity drink. Bland but inoffensive. 4/3/4/3/10 - 2.4<P> August 2003. First discovered this in The Firm by John Grisham. Local bar had a stubby and wings deal. Yellow, little head. Just enough malt and hops to notice, but pretty bland. Ok to wash down wings with though. 4/3/4/2/10 - 2.3

Piss yellow in color with a small head. Aroma is slightly malty with notes of grain. Flavor is somewhat sweet and watery. The bottles all right but the beer is not.

This lager beer pours a clear golden color with a small, fizzy white head that dissappears quickly and leaves very little lace. The aroma is lagerish with some faint malts and hops as well as a corny sweetness. It has a light body with high carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. The flavor is weak but slightly sweet, probably more from corn than malts. The finish is crisp with hardly any taste. Not especially bad, but not really good either.

I like the flavor better than Bud, but it's similar. Easy to drink, cool bottles, a little sweet. Good for when it's hot out. The major problem I have with Red Stripe is the price - if it cost the same as the macros, I'd buy it much more often.

This is what people drink when they want to impress others with how little they know about beer. Neat bottle, though.

12 oz bottle, pint glass. Large frothy head diminishes quickly. Body is a pale yellow with lively carbonation and no visible particles. Grainy, cereal malt aroma. Dirty grassy hops. No yeast aroma that I could find. Corn and grain dominate the taste. No lacing is left behind on this one. Mildly sweet throughout. Ligh carbonation, watery texture. Very grainy, almost wood-like finish, reminiscent of rough whiskey. Gets point for having a cooler friendly bottle.
