Not sure why anyone would pay the money for it, but if I get handed one I won’t turn it down.

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2007 I have to really go out on a limb here. I like this. It isn’t bold flavor wise but it really is a fine basic beer. It has a mild sweetness that has kind of a breaddy mouthfeel. This has become a fave

Good Beer but pricey. We could have gotten MGD for less. Tastes pretty much the same.

The only disappointment on a Caribbean cruise. I switched quickly to Heineken, and was happy the rest of the trip. Red Stripe can be described in two words: Light and sweet. Many fine people love those two qualities in a beer - I am not one of them.

To get the bull shit out of the way, I would like to point out that this is the 100th beer that I have rated. With that said, this tastes more like a wheat beer to me except food doesn’t make it taste any better. The bottle is a kick ass short, fat man’s bottle but the beer leaves something to be desired. I was hoping for better from this.

the beer labels are sometimes filled with very funny things, like for this one where one can read: ’One of the World’s Greatest Beers’ - hmmm ..., ok let’s see: it has a pale yellow colour with very few foam, some malt in the nose, oily with a very short finish which gives an undefinable and unpleasant flavour in the mouth. Wonder what ’Greatest’ means in Jamaica ?
