First brewed in 1938.
It is a light alcohol drink with not too strong bitterness but rather soft taste; therefore, it’s easy to drink it up.
Brewed for the UK market by Charles Wells since 1976.
Brewed for US market at City Brewery’s Latrobe plant since 2012.

Straw yellow in color. Very thin but lingering head. Semi-sweet malty aroma. Crisp carbonation. Refreshing sour notes. An above average American standard.

Pleasent aroma and start, but slightly sour and way too strong on the finish.

Straw color with a wispy white head. Aromas of light grain, minimal floral hops with a touch of acidity. Watery malt and somewhat salty. Bite in the finish that may be fine with certain foods on a hot day, but not an easy drinking lager.

A good american standard. It has a little more flavor than most, but for what it is its a little expensive.

This is my favorite American standard. A typical lager but lacks the adjunct taste of alot of others. This was my favorite beer when I didnt know any better. Best with Jerk wings and other tropical food. Pretty good overall but a little pricey.

Reminded me a little of a Killians Red. Nothing special but the bottle was definitely interesting to drink out of! It has to be the smallest beer bottle I've seen! It's hard to believe they fit 12 oz in there. The bottle was probably more memorable than the beer if that says anything.

Unusual. Frothy palate with more character and bitterness than average. Like a lighter bodied version of Bud.

It's a sour and bitter beer. What really got to me was how carbonated it was. It still has more flavor than some beers I've tasted.

A yellow beer with no head. Slightly sour aroma - probably from the corn used for the brewing but also slightly malty. The flavor is dominated by the corn sourness combined with a slight sweetness and a slight bitterness. There is absolutely no aftertaste. One of the most boring beers I've ever had.

The aroma is sweet, hoppy, lightly floral. The appearance is a clear gold, with a thin bubbly head. The flavor is a bit bland, with a light bitter aftertaste. The beer is smooth and easy to drink. Overall not bad.
