Nice lager to try every once in a while, but a litle pricey for the modest experience.

Get’s one point extra for the lable including the sentence "One of the world’s greatest beers" It always help a little bit to have self confidential. Very sweet, flowery nose. Pale yellow body, no head. Just sweet sugar water, yuck.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A definite alternative for the Budweiser/Miller/Corona drinkers. It’s a unique lager that is worth a try.

Bottle. Nothing like a semi-cold Red Stripe while camping at the beach in the Redwoods. Tasted a little sweet, but otherwise unimpressive.

You know what, I like this beer. Smooth, good flavor, not too carbonated, and a cool bottle. One thing though.... at first sip it hits your tastebuds weird, but after a couple sips, really smooth....

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUN 25, 2008 Rerate Light golden pour, thin white head. Tinny aroma and typical lager flavor with a trace of honey. Thin mouthfeel - but somewhat refreshing. Original 2.8 Bit of a chemical taste to it - good mouthfeel though with little to no aroma. Light head upon pouring. A step or two above the American standards and perhaps above the Mexican offerings as well. Extra point for the painted bottle.

The best thing about this beer is that goes well with Jerk seasoning.

Not that much better than Corrs or Miller products and much more expensive.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Had a bottle of this tonight at the BW3’s in Dublin. Fresh spicy nose with floral accents. Pours a clear light straw yellow. The tall white head is somewhere between frothy and creamy. The head is mostly lasting with good lacing. The flavor has a spicy alcoholic quality with a clean finish. Balanced but not very deep. The light body is creamy and lively with a lightly astringent finish. Better than countless other american standards. But not an offering from a strong style.
