NextBestThing (22), Westtown, New York, USA Jul 29, 2008 Updated: Jul 31, 2008Have no idea why anyone would rate this higher than Budweiser, Schlitz, or Schaefer. Tastes worse than Corona and I didn’t think this was possible. Has a nice color and of course a good looking bottle. Other than that, it’s torture to drink this beer. Highly, highly carbonated. Grotesque grainy nose. The only way I would ever voluntarily drink this again is if I someday find myself dying of thirst and I inadvertantly stumble across one of these. rayOfBeer (316), El Cerrito, California, USA Jul 28, 2008 Poured from bottle a clear light golden with thin white head. Aroma has hay and sweet malt notes. Flavor is mostly hay, light bread, and touches of sweet malt which finishes with a mild bitterness. Palate is light malt mouthfeel with medium thin body and good carbonation. Overall, there is enough flavor and malt to make this interesting and drinkable on a hot, humid day. iammarc (193), Inverness, Scotland Jul 28, 2008 Not a bad beer, a good student favourite back in the day. Quite pale, and distiguishable taste. A nice treat to bring the memories flooding home. MaltDawg (778), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 27, 2008 22 oz bottle from local grocery store. Pale malt aroma with some corn and a bit of spicey hops. Clear straw color, with large rocky head that mostly diminishes. Pale malt flavor with some spicey almost nobel hop flavors. Light body with moderate carbonation. Finish is fairly dry, crisp, with a touch of hop flavor. This is better than I remembered. KidVenom (27), Manitoba, Canada Jul 27, 2008 Not too bad.
I like the smooth flavor, nothing offensive. But I find it tastes a bit too much like molson Black Ice, Which i hate with a passion. But to be honest, its a little better then average. I’d probably buy it again. jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA Jul 26, 2008 Pale yellow in color with a small white head. Aroma is of light hops. Flavor is slightly malty. Nothing special. gameface23 (131), Haverhill, Massachusetts, USA Jul 25, 2008 Updated: Aug 31, 2008Bottle. Pours a pale yellow. Nose of corn and straw and sweet malt. I taste somewhat of an "iced tea with sugar" flavor. A refreshing beer for a hot day by the pool BeerBaron617 (306), Novi, Michigan, USA Jul 21, 2008 Had this in the bottle at a bar in Northville, MI. It tasted and looked like a typical mass market lager, or pilsner. It was no frills beer that is overpriced and overrated.
