1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Daytona00 (123) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 22, 2010
330 bottle. Yellow color with small head. Very light beer. I dont like the strange after taste which remind me the Pabst Blue Ribbon. In a hot summer day, Il take a Corona over this all anytime.
3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20 bdsmithyu (2) - USA - JUN 21, 2010 does not count
Seriously, this is a great beer. For the style, anyway. pours straw yellow with a little fizz. it’s really smooth and easy-drinking for the moment. there’s a cornmeal/rye mixture that creeps up on you a few sips in. bitterness is almost nonexistent, but it has some spunk to it. you’re almost always going to get metallic tastes with these types of beers, but it isn’t so overpowering with this one. I’m actually surprised.
1.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Cakes (213) - New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 16, 2010
24 oz. bottle.
Pours very light yellow ( with an orangish tint) with a nonexistent head. Aroma is crispy with tastes of citrus
The flavor is a odd for a lager- more like a corn beer.
An interesting pour that is better than many American lagers.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ClubGonzo (1732) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 13, 2010
UPDATED: JUL 12, 2010 Once upon a time, this was my favorite beer. Whether or not it had to do with the fact that I only had it when I was traveling (it was out of the Norwegian market for a long time) or the fact that it’s from exotic Jamaica, I do not know. Thus, this is a rather interesting rating for me, and worthy of my no. 300 here on ratebeer. Pours a standard lager body, clear, golden and with a moderate white top. Smell is corn, light malts and hints of rice. Taste is sweet and smooth; perhaps the initial reason for my liking. Extremely drinkable, and with hints of muscat and faint nuts in the aftertaste, Red Stripe is actually one of the better "international lagers" I’ve had. Not groundbreaking or revolutionary, but refreshing and easy-going, like a game of soccer on an evening in Montego Bay; waves crashing gently over the beach, reggae bass bumpin’ in the background. Ok, I’ll stop fantasizing and sound like a commercial now. But really, this is not so bad at all. :-)
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 gunnar (2275) - Sandnes, NORWAY - JUN 11, 2010
Bottle. Pours light straw coloured, with a small fast diminishing white head.
Aroma of boiled vegetables. Taste is medium sweet, skunky and a minimal bitterness. Watery mouthfeel. Chemical aftertaste
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Kavu (938) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - JUN 10, 2010
Pours very light yellow with a nonexistent head. Aroma is crispy with perhaps some lemon. Flavor is a weird mix of a lager and a corn beer. Certainly not my favourite but not quite as bad as everybody says. I could drink it on a hot summer day.
