Drank on a hot day at the end of summer. I had a Jamaican-themed beer dinner by the pool and paired this with grilled plantains and coconut jasmine rice. Not bad... Out of the oil can bottle and into a tall glass it pours a thin, pale straw with much carbonation and a quite decent frothy white head and slight lacing. Not much aroma, sweet corn, rice, and maybe a slight herbal (jasmine) hint. The taste is medium-dry, but has a sweet finish with just a hint of spice from whatever inkling of hops may exist. Cornmeal and sticky rice flavors follow. The mouthfeel is rather thin, but not watery and highly carbonated all leading to a sweet, refreshing finish. Nothing special, but I, like many, have fond high school memories of this beer and the relaxing, fun Jamaican spirit it imparts.

I enjoy drinking this beer on a hot summer day. I do love the bottle that it comes in. Pours a yellow color with a white head. I like this much more than Corona.

330 ml bottle. Golden body with a small white head. Weak aroma of hay with some kind of sourness. Flavor is week corny, also with some kind of sourness. No real bitterness, just an unpleasant harshness.

Clear light golden color with a thick white head. Amazing lacing that wasn’t expected. Smell was a bit skunky and too sweet. Taste wasn’t as bad as I thought it might be therefore it was drinkable. Not great by any means but I finished it.

Aside from being Jamaican, giving the brew a bit of an exotic edge, there is very ltitle to this one. You’ll want to try it once, maybe finish off a case if you bought one, but it’s easily forgettable. Slightly drinkable though, but I wouldn’t try it again.
