COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 1938.
It is a light alcohol drink with not too strong bitterness but rather soft taste; therefore, it's easy to drink it up.

Tastes more like an ale than a lager beer. Pours a golden yellow with a small white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is salty and grassy.

1497 rating of this brew. Considered waiting to get 1500, but that would be like pulling over on the freeway to take a picture of your odometer as you passed 999,999.9 miles, and that’s just silly. Light lager type beer. Gains a nice apple sweetness as it warms. Better than Budweiser and went well with the chili I had for dinner tonight. Not in my bottom 8th percentile is this one.

Papillon (280) - Sudbury, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 23, 2010
473 mL Can. Pale straw body with a thick frothy white head that settles to a foamy clingy layer leaving ample lace. Brownie points for appearance. Corn, corn husk, and hay dominate in the aroma, floral and grassy notes, and a very faint innuendo of pine. There is also an astringent quality about it. Hay, a grassy quality, and some grains and cereals make up the taste. Grassy aftertaste; not that pleasant but not offensive either. Smooth in the mouth; grains and cereals in the finish. Summer time beach beer.

Can. Pale yellow with a small white head. The aroma is pale malt, light hops and cereal. The flavour is almost the same but with some fruit as well. Rather dull.

(12oz bottle) very pale yellow pour gets some points for lacing. Nose of butter, apples, sugar, and skunk. Taste of straight sugar, nasty metal, cardboard, old grains, with a watery well carbonated body.

As far as mass-produced pale lagers go this is not the worst... but still, only average at best.

Tasted 2010-03-02. Bottle. Pours clear, light yellow (almost like tap water) with white head. No taste what so ever. I can get this cheaper and better just by turning the nob by my kitchen sink,

Pale Lager, nothing great, average...smooth taste with a bit more sweetness, easy to drink. Id prefer other pale lagers to this one though.
