It is a pale lager in the american macro style. Not awful, just not very inspired either. I’m sure if I were on the beach in Jamaica i would think this is the greatest beer ever! | 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Mar 31, 2008 Hooray beer. The Jamaican lager is smooth and roughly bitter. Pours light golden and has a distinct character. Must’ve drank 50 of them on draft during my honeymoon in Ocho Rios. NobleSquirrel (1105), Chicago, Illinois, USA

While it’s not very complex I find it to be very satisfying. It starts pretty average in taste but develops into a good malty flavor in the end. I prefer this from the bottle rather than a glass, and the only time I’ve had this that was good on draft was in London. There’s something that feels good about drinking a Red Stripe to me, even with all the recent really strong advertising for it. KimJohansen (6806), Copenhagen V, Denmark
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 24, 2008 Clear golden with medium short lasting head. Sweet aroma with notes of malt and corn. Sweet malty flavor with mild bitter finish. Skinnyviking (4142), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Mar 24, 2008 Bottle. Small fluffy and quickly disappearing white had. Clear light yellow body. Weak corn like aroma. Flavor also very sweet and corn like with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a short aftertaste. Watery weak, sweet and boring. Waste of time. scoobysnak (249), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA
