First brewed in 1938.
It is a light alcohol drink with not too strong bitterness but rather soft taste; therefore, it’s easy to drink it up.
Brewed for the UK market by Charles Wells since 1976.
Brewed for US market at City Brewery’s Latrobe plant since 2012.

Bottle. Very pale orange with a decent white head that lasts OK. Smells like overboiled vegies, souring corn. Watery. Carbonation is fine (just on the low side of typical for a pale lager), so that’s something. Sweet and slightly sour corn taste is not as nasty as the aroma but not pleasant at all. A tiny bit of bitterness. Really awful, a well below average pale lager.

Old rating. I have a really tough time with this one. A bit worse than the typical caribbean lager, but generally nothing new.

Very fond memories of drinking this at the Wild Hare and Singing Armadillo Frog Sanctuary in Chicago back in the day. Now it is just a marketing gimmick from a sleazy macro in PA. Ah...the memories...

UPDATED: JUL 16, 2015 Bottle. Pouree a watery super thin pale gold with a fizzy white head. Aroma of skunked veggies, saw dust. Body is watery with strong carbonation. Flavor is pretty lousy, straw, grass, slight hint of honey bread, actually not as bad as I was expecing. Overall though blah

Pours a light yellow color with a very light foamy head and minimal carbonation. Has a light hop smell to it. Has a nice and light smooth taste to it and the palate leaves the mouth a little dry afterwards, not a bad beer.

Pours a light gold with small white cap. Aroma of sweet grain and syrup. Wow! Not much of anything to report. Soft carbonation, practically no taste, small grassy, hay note right at the end. Staggeringly bland.
