First brewed in 1938.
It is a light alcohol drink with not too strong bitterness but rather soft taste; therefore, it's easy to drink it up.

Vertical Bacon Strips (1615) - Asshat, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 14, 2009
Pours out a large rice-crispy sounding rocky white cap that vanishes fast. Standard gold beer with little to no effervesance within a minuite or so and has zero retension. Aroma is sweet with some corn flakes and a touch of citrus. Taste is sweet with more hops than I remembered. Almost chewy. Decent malts and grainy too. Also some buttery something can be found. Medium bodied and quite smooth with a nice ammount of carbonation and a slight grain aftertaste with underlying tasty bitterness. A great slamming beer - very easy to enjoy, 100% non-offending, but usually overpriced. A consistantly solid lager. Pretty much better than anything mass produced in North America.

This beer looks great even before I pour it because nothing can look bad when it comes in a stubby. Pours crystal clear gold with a two inch fluffy white head the slowly disappears to nothing, don’t know what it is but this beer looks very nice to me. Mild malty aroma, touches of banana and sour metallic’s can be detected, smells fairly descent for a third world import lager that is to say there is zero trace of skunk. The brew taste very malty with a slight bitter edge to it, the seems to be a staleness in the flavor causing a dusty like taste. This reminds me a lot of euro trash imported lagers but this is more mild and crisp making it way more drinkable. I don’t know why but the after taste is banana, what doesn’t seem correct but that’s all it seems to be. Good beer, way better than most import lagers just remember to drink cold straight out of the fridge because when warm it becomes way more stale tasting. This scores seem way to high to me, but i guess it is what it is.

bottle. Pours a clear, very pale yellow with almost no white head. Not much to the taste, a little malty, mostly water. It’s popularity is understandable, as it is an easy to drink, light, "exotic," summertime beer with a great advertising campaign.

16 ounce can (not even the classic bottle). Pale yellow, big head with a straight down pour. Not really bad tasting, but weak. Corn, maybe, but little malt or hops. Okay with food. Forgettable.

Theres a bit of rockn roll attitude to this one... must remind me of white stripes..or something. Little fat bottle - 33 cl. Pours a very pale yellow but with a nice foamy white head. The aroma is light with yeastnotes and hints of citrus and metal. The taste is extremely light..(Hey ho) with nothing particular to mention. Maybe the sun have to heat it up before releasing its goodies...if it has some. The finish is light bitter with a little fatty palate... The only thing to justify why to rate this one is to improve the geo stats...maan.
