AndyHasFins (24), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 23, 2007 Another bland & average yellow lager masquerading as an exotic import. Nothing you havn’t tasted a hundered times before. robbyf (19), Michigan, USA Aug 22, 2007 Good but not outstanding. I liked immediately the "hoppiness". Serve it cold---I just drank a 24 oz. Red Stripe, and by the time I finished the bottle, it was no longer cold and the flavor had gone a bit downhill. Didn’t seem overly sweet, also didn’t notice any lack of carbonation douglas88 (1559), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Aug 21, 2007 Red Stripe does have a cool bottle and great marketing, but the beer is bland. It does, as advertised, have a soft sweet flavor of malt and corn perhaps. Pours golden with a weak fizzy head. Better than some Pale Lagers, but not great. Bart (1625), Vosselaar, Belgium Aug 21, 2007 Golden blond coloured beer with very little carbonation and an average white head. Sweet hoppy arome. Medium Palate. Finish is light bitter, hoppy. Medium pale lager AWS9 (222), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Aug 18, 2007 Bottle in Jamaica. Fairly average all around. Has a nice bitter aftertaste, hops fairly pronounced. chadcs (76), Westminster, South Carolina, USA Aug 18, 2007 Bottle - Pale lager. Smooth, not much a bite at the end. was nicely surprised because Iwas hesitant of a Jamaican Beer. rodneykm (109), Westminster, South Carolina, USA Aug 18, 2007 Updated: Nov 27, 2007Rerate: Had this beer over the weekend and it reminded me of a budweiser. Wasnt as impressed with it as I was before (was a 2.9). I guess my taste has "grown up" some. altonbrownd (1862), Amsterdam, Netherlands Aug 18, 2007 Bottle at Beer Palace, Oslo. Finally rated this beer, an old favorite. It’s very distinctive of course. Quite malty, soft. Watery and always goes down well. But not anything spectacular.
