jezmez68 (332), Chesterton, Indiana, USA Jul 7, 2007 I haven’t had one of these in a while. I remembered it being skunky, like Heineken, however, I remembered wrong. It’s a decent, average lager, not overpowering in taste, but still tasty. This sort of reminds me of a Leinenkugel’s, only with more of a banana-type overtone. Fevernova (31), Ohio, USA Jul 6, 2007 Bottle -- Pours a yellow to amber color with a white head that fully diminishes leaving little lacing. Aromas of banana and hey are prominant. Moderate carbonation. Crisp and refreshing on a hot day. A good beer for the ballpark. mcox90 (617), Wilton, USA Jul 6, 2007 12 bottle. Consumed at fridge temp. I had several of these over a couple days before rating. Pours a pale yellow with a thin almost non-existent head. Aroma is grainy although faint. Taste is BORING. It does have a crisp light tang to it. It would be a good lawnmower beer. The bottle is cool. I would drink again , but I would not seek it out. yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 1, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours yellow with a quickly disappearing crispy white head. Sweet malty hay aroma. Sweet corn flavour. Soft mouthfeel. Mild bitter finish with persisting corn flavour. BeerVirgin72 (778), Pataskala, Ohio, USA Jul 1, 2007 WOO HOO! I am the 1000th rating for this beer! Do I get a prize????
Very hard to get a complete feel for this. Drank from bottle, straight from fridge at a cookout tonight. But the flavor was definitely just a light lager with a slightly "skunky" taste in the middle followed by some bitterness. I have heard a lot of people like this beer, and I am glad I finally tried it, but I think there are many more drinkable beers at this level that I will lean towards in the future. joe19612 (673), camberley, Surrey, England Jun 30, 2007 Can. Beer is brewed under licence from Wells and Youngs, Bedford England. Easy to drink but not much body or any else to say about it. had better. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA Jun 23, 2007 From a 12 oz. stubby, hand grenade shaped bottle, a freshness date on the shoulder, sampled ice cold from a cooler in a lager glass.
Poured a clear pale lager golden with a frothy, creamy white head that dissipates into a thin sudsy lacing.
A faint and clean nose, musty hops and pale grainy.
Good firm carbonation and a crisp, dry, creamy smooth medium-light bodied mouthfeel.
Refreshing, delicious tasting on a hot, muggy summer day, sweet pale malts with a grainy twang, lemony citric hops with a dry leafy bite towards the end, and a dry grainy, lightly hoppy finish.
I wish American macro lagers were this good, easy, smooth drinking, perfect for the summer. Chapel (329), Levittown, New York, USA Jun 23, 2007 It pours a pretty thin yellow with a disappearing head. Carbonation seems high, almost on the level of cold soda which gives it an interesting mouth feel. The aroma was not so complex as it was muddied; a ’nice’ mix of skunk, banana and wheat. However, the taste is where it really killed me. The first thing it reminded me of was chlorinated pool water. Almost a drain pour after the first two sips, but a friend jumped on the bullet for me. We were victims of good marketing.
