R6master (15), Texas, USA Jul 19, 2009 Smooth and refreshing. great with pizza. Tastes kind of macro with slight bitterness. nothing special. bedainedebiere (274), Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada Jul 19, 2009 Summer 09’s new way for Quebec nationalised liquor stores to please the Jamaican community? Hope it works and make some jamaican-Quebecois happy because, with the 30 to 40 kinds of beers they sell, this one is not really a wonder for beer lovers. Light white fizz foam at first that quickly disapears completly. Slightly chemical macro-like quite displeasing aroma, quite obvious and strong; headacheful... Pretty malty, maybe some apple juice, notes of banana, but not a very good taste. Not awful either. Just bland. Dryness more than bitterness occuring from the reserved (least to say) hopping. On a beach, in Jamaica, in a rastafarian party or while smoking a joint (?), it might be quite suitable. At home, on a regular basis, not for me... Travlr (698), Washington, Washington DC, USA Jul 18, 2009 Light and alcohol and also light on taste. Typical boring plain weak lager. Best drunk on the beach so the ambiance enhances the experience. broozer81 (63), , New Jersey, USA Jul 17, 2009 i’m trying to give some kudos for originality, cool bottle, plain label, it’s from 1938 and its jamaican what the hell...not the worst lager it has a little kick...let me stop.. phaleslu (423), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jul 15, 2009 16 oz. can. Smooth lager, golden pour, white head. Relatively weak aroma. Stronger flavor than most macro lagers. Hops, malts. Light-medium body. Not great, not terrible. twistedviews (67), California, USA Jul 13, 2009 this isn’t getting very good ratings? i thought this was good... goes down smooth, lager with a little malt and some fruits possumjc (99), Charleston - Mt Pleasant, South Carolina, USA Jul 8, 2009 What can you say? Looks and tastes like a run-of-the-mill lager. OK if there is nothing better to drink...
dalek123 (103), Houston, Texas, USA Jul 4, 2009 Pours pale golden with a white head. Faint malt taste but not much to speak of. Not much character at all.
