First brewed in 1938.
It is a light alcohol drink with not too strong bitterness but rather soft taste; therefore, it’s easy to drink it up.
Brewed for the UK market by Charles Wells since 1976.
Brewed for US market at City Brewery’s Latrobe plant since 2012.

Bottle into plastic cup at restaurant. Golden pale lager color with white head. Aroma of sweet pale malt and a metallic note. Taste brings out somewhat of a faint spice in the grainy malt. Light body, heavy carbonation, crisp with a clean finish. Alright, the short bottle I guess sells it.

I used to drink it in some reggae festivals not some time a go. Good as liquid, but worst than other lager beers

24 oz bottle poured. Some may see this beer, and ask "why?". I chose to look at this beer and say, "why not?" Besides, I enjoy going on a geographical beer adventure, no matter how crazy or not that can get. Never had a Jamaican style beer before, and it’s easily the first that comes to mind for me every time. I judge every beer fairly, and I can honestly say, I feel this is underrated. Pours a light color with a grainy nose to it. High carbonation throughout, with nothing but smooth, easy drinking flavor. Some odd sweetness to it towards the finish. Overall, I found this to be quite refreshing, and for the price, I’ll most likely drink this again sooner than later.

Bottle on Sten ship to Denmark. It was some time ago, but I remember that it was somewhat bitter, and not particularly different from other pale lagers.

"nuttier, sweeter, and redder than you expect from you’re average lager. not a great beer, but drinkable, and slightly unique, making it worth a try."

Lager beer with slightly sweet taste. Nothing special about it: it has no peculiarity at all.

330ml bottle poured in a chalice. I was expecting much more from this "beer"... People consider this a "fair Adjunct Lager" but I doubt that such thing really exists... A: Pour a pale yellow color. The head is fluffy aired and white. Minimal retention. Disappears leaving many lacings S: Sweet malts, basically. Ends up with an annoying smell of adjunct malts... Stinky T: After smelling it for some time, I was really afraid about its taste... This is very metallic. Watery. Cigarette ashes. Really bad stuff... M: Light body and high carbonation D: Terrible. For sure, one of the worst beers I’ve ever had... [ BA Review @ 9/18/2010 ]

Bottle @ home. Pours straw yellow color with a medium white head and a little lacing. Aroma is sweet and has some light fruitiness, hay, grains, and hints of almonds and grassy hops. A hint of complexity here(!) Flat & highly carbonated mouth feel. dry somewhat sweet flavor of grains, cereal, corn, grass. Dry finish with almost no bitterness and hint of cardboard.

The bottle looks nice, the beer tastes average. But i felt good drinking it. Maybe that’s because i’ve never seen a jamaican beer before.

Pours light yellow with little white head. Taste has straw, some malts, a kind of sweetness with a tinge of bitterness. Mild taste, don’t really hate it but nothing too special to say about it, either.
