Light golden color with a white head that was substantial. A bit thin bodied, with quite assertive carbonation. The flavor is light sweet malt, with decent suggestion of grassy hop. Perhaps a bit of citrus. The finish is clean, relatively dry, and the bitter is adequate. All in all it is much better than most mass produced lagers. Not all that much, but better. motelpogo (4399), Plzen, Czech Republic

I think people who want to look different like it solely for the bottle. A fairly decent lager. Light on aroma and taste. Smells of old socks. Taste is thin with a little more malt than most macro lagers. tiggmtl (4312), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Nov 18, 2004 Very mild, sweet aroma. Clear golden with shy white head that recedes to ring with good signs of carbonation. Sweet with a light balancing bitterness. Light refreshing, simple body. Ok, so it’s not the pinnacle of great beer, but it is inoffensive and actually not a bad thirst quencher. I’m sure it the hot sun, this would go down easy. Bottle. | 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Oct 4, 2002 This is presented as Jamaica Lager Beer, but (along with a number of ’Indian’ beers) is actually brewed under licence here in the UK. There is nothing distinctive about this lager - it is like a number of other sub pilsner beers that exist due to marketing rather than taste - and certaintly nothing typically Jamaican about it; indeed, because it is brewed here in England by Charles Wells, its main constituent - water - is English. | 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Mar 24, 2008 Bottle. Small fluffy and quickly disappearing white had. Clear light yellow body. Weak corn like aroma. Flavor also very sweet and corn like with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a short aftertaste. Watery weak, sweet and boring. Waste of time. Pours a clear, light golden yellow brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a clean top. Aroma of light bread dough and some grassy hops. Taste is highly carbonated, watery/light bodied with some sweet citrus flavor. Finish is smooth, crisp and clean cut. Nothing spectacular, just another summer lawnmower beer. | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jul 17, 2005 Bottle. Golden pour with a decent sized head from a rough pour. Weak aroma was musty with some underlying sweetness and hops. Creamy mouthfeel, but light on the flavor. I picked up some hops toward the back of the mouth & on the finish, and there was a light malt backbone. Weak flavor, but overall not offensive... and it was much better than the preceding Trader Todd’s Ogre Beer.
