First brewed in 1938.
It is a light alcohol drink with not too strong bitterness but rather soft taste; therefore, it’s easy to drink it up.
Brewed for the UK market by Charles Wells since 1976.
Brewed for US market at City Brewery’s Latrobe plant since 2012.

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2007 I find this to be a pretty harsh lager, and I usually go for another lager when I have a choice. The grenade shape is pretty cool though. A novelty brew almost.

Bottle 33cl. Clear pale golden color, small white fluffy head, recedes quicly, a bit of lacing; aroma sweet malty, corn, hay; tast light sweet, corny, slightly bitter, bit metallic; light body, light oil to watery texture, soft carbonation, mild bitter finish; overall probably an quite acceptable pale lager if you sip it at a Jamacain poolside.

Pale yellow colour, moderate sized white head; aroma of bread, hay, some minimal floral notes and cardboard; taste is sour with some sweetness and wet cardboard - bad lager

12 oz. bottle. It pours a very pale yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is pretty one note with a neutral breadiness. Maybe some crackers and dough, but mostly white bread. Hints of apple. The flavor is non-offensive with more dough, pale malt, apple, pear and just a hint of hop bitterness in the finish. Not much to like or hate here. Another clean but boring industrial Pale Lager.

Look I actually didnt mind this lager. It is what is - clean and crisp and the perfect beer to sink if your already pissed to keep things moving along.

Cerveza de color amarillo con una espuma que dura poco. Aroma a malta y a lúpulo. Sabor suave a malta y un poco amargo. No es una grande cerveza pero es decente.

I used to drink it in some reggae festivals not some time a go. Good as liquid, but worst than other lager beers

24 oz bottle poured. Some may see this beer, and ask "why?". I chose to look at this beer and say, "why not?" Besides, I enjoy going on a geographical beer adventure, no matter how crazy or not that can get. Never had a Jamaican style beer before, and it’s easily the first that comes to mind for me every time. I judge every beer fairly, and I can honestly say, I feel this is underrated. Pours a light color with a grainy nose to it. High carbonation throughout, with nothing but smooth, easy drinking flavor. Some odd sweetness to it towards the finish. Overall, I found this to be quite refreshing, and for the price, I’ll most likely drink this again sooner than later.

Bottle on Sten ship to Denmark. It was some time ago, but I remember that it was somewhat bitter, and not particularly different from other pale lagers.

"nuttier, sweeter, and redder than you expect from you’re average lager. not a great beer, but drinkable, and slightly unique, making it worth a try."
