During the Fall and Winter I tend to enjoy heavier and darker beers. I usually go with Red Stripe in late Winter to ease my taste buds into the spring, summer and Mexican beers.

Bottle from b&M, Team Valley, Gateshead. Pale yellow, almost clear in colour with a sugary sweet fruity flavour, slight soapy notes and a very dry finish. Not very nice at all.

For average, this is actually good tasting and overall a good beer. Has a yellow-golden color, maybe a hint of red. Decent amount of carb and head. Appears like a typical lager, but has a decent taste, which is mostly barley, light malts, with some minimal spices. Definitely a couple notches over budweiser and company.

484ml can. Drank with Jamaican food in Great Moor, Stockport. Hoppy/malty nose. Light carbonation but quite zingy on the tongue. A few hops upfront, then it’s the sweet, sweet train all the way home.

Drank this while on our honeymoon in Jamaica. Good carbonation and fairly easy to drink, mon.

Literally my favorite beer, a premium brand fresh from the shores of Jamaica. It tastes good and makes you look cool while you’re drinking it. It’s also a talking point as it is fairly unknown, for example "Hey, what’s that?" "Why, it’s Red Stripe, a delicious Jamaican lager beer" "May I try some" "Absolutely" and so on. Would recommend, 10/10.

Kind of smells like an old pile of hay that got sprayed by a skunk, or pissed on by a cat or....something equally appealing. Taste is slightly better - more like corn syrup, club soda and hay. Slight bit of bitterness on the finish makes this almost vaguely palatable, but the best part of this beer is still the bottle it comes in.

Pours pale straw. Aroma is musty yeast and wet cardboard. Taste is mostly grain and yeast. Effervescent. Palate is watery. Overall, its gassy, bland and skunky. On the other hand, compared to most giant, US main line beers in the category, it might be OK. I just don?t have the tolerance.

Aroma is a skunky grassiness. Fortunately the skunk doesn’t last long....Appearance, it pours a less than medium fizzy thin head, does that make sense? It’s a pretty good head, but fizzy, it’s weird....Taste, fortunately, it makes up for some bad first impressions, because it tastes pretty dadgum good, better than what I was expecting. I’m not sure what I’m tasting, but I like it...Mouthfeel, it’s still fizzy, and it’s a medium body, and pretty good...Overall, I’ve had it before, wasn’t impressed, not impressed now. The bottle looks cool~~

White head. Pale golden clear. Aroma of grainy hops growing from a cow dung. Tastes dirty hops, grains, pale caramel malts. Malty finish with some bread. Pale body. Pale lager. [330ml spec.btl, abv4.7%, BB12oct2015, 3€, B@Kilpishalli Finland]
