I seem to remember this coming out to compete with Red Dog. Neither were very good but this was slightly better. Serving: Bottle

Nose is a little bit like burnt pixie sticks, tastes like high school mistakes.

I think this came out to compete with "Red Dog". At least they seemed to come our around the same time. Both are crappy.

Pour is actually a nice dark red with decent head. Everything goes down hill from there. Nose of skunked hops. Taste is rather repulsive malt bath. Rated 1/15/2000

Bottle. Not a bad beer, just average. Average aroma. Nice color. Not a bad taste.

12 ounce can from 8/30/96 that says 5.5% abv. Pours a cloudy copper color with a decent light tan head that fades fast. Aroma is of roasted malt, caramel, tea/herbs and overripe/rotten fruit. Similar taste. It is a little sweet. A little slick but overall watery. Rather drinkable, despite the description and age. For being 13.5 years old it has held up rather well. Much better than the ‘94 Sam Adams Triple Bock I had last year. I’ll have to procure a fresher version for comparison.

A beer that I used to drink quite a bit of when I was younger. Pours amber with a god head. Smells of sweet malt, some rosey hints. Tastes of sweet malt, some light spice, earthy, some peppery splashes/ Not sure why this gets such bad ratings.

Light golden amber pour. Overly sweet and carbonated. Used to drink a lot of this.
