On tap at the brewery. Pours a deep russet with very little head and no retention. Aromas of cocoa and burnt sugar dominate, traces of spicy hops in the background. Flavourwise, a nice toastiness, layered with nuttiness and dark caramel. Medium bodied, perhaps a bit on the thin side, but a decent beer.

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2013 Bottle shared at the Richmond Industry Gathering, Nov. 2012. 6.5% ABV Pours a clear orange color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of caramel, nutty notes, honey and floral hops. The taste is honey, caramel, raisin and herbal hops. Medium bodied.

Draft at the brewery on opening day. Very similar to the bottled sample, but a little drier. More caramel, less honey, less fruity. Still a nice beer.
