>> Pours clear amber orange with little to no foam with zero retention. Nose is apple cider. Taste up front is sour apple cider, light sour bite, pool water. Lemony, tea finish. At least there is no dustiness or stale pine. No hop character nor malt. Super light bodied. Inoffensive, but not enjoyable.

Tried this once when my wife bought a six-pack out of sheer curiosity. Pours an amber color with off-white head. Very sweet to the nose and on the palate. Sweeter than I would have liked, but itís gluten free. Overall, not bad.

This is weird and doesnít really taste like barley beer but itís not bad. It is orange golden--a shade darker than a Pilsener maybe--w/ a small white head of medium bubbles. The nose on this, I am just not sure what is going on. It smells like tart lemon and a small amount of mint or something. This is light bodied but still has something of an oily slickness despite itís vigorous carbonation. The taste follows the aroma for the most part, very mild but citrusy and lemony in a way that is not common to beer--almost tastes like there is a small amount of lemon juice added or something. It finishes quick and crisp w/ some lingering fruity notes. As strange as this is, it is still very much drinkable and I could put down several of these had I no other option and I would not complain. It is a cut above some of the other gluten-free nonsense beers I have had for this reason but it is still not the best of its kind by a long shot.

Gluten free? Yes? Taste free? Yes! I understand thereís a market for this, but this was almost undrinkable, and got worse as it warmed. Sorghum makes for a funky, musty overall aroma and taste. Blech.

Iíve had this several times and this is my take on this one. When it was poured, it was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a decent looking clear yet also had a decent haziness about a red color. The head rapidly dissipated into oblivion and left no lacing. The smell was kind of spicy but malty but it didnít have much else. The taste was somewhat sweet but spicy. The palate, well, that sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionable quality about it. Overall, well, if youíre looking for gluten free beers, in my opinion of what Iíve had, Iíd go with Widmerís Omission series before this stuff. I mean I guess this isnít bad, but Widmerís Omission beers are better.

12oz bottle from Orchard Fresh, Orchard Park, NY. Golden amber with a ring of white head; unusual aroma and taste, reminiscent of rye, so I guess itís the sorghum, otherwise itís fairly standard stuff, with a touch of limey citrus and hardly any hops.

Really odd scent. I guess thats sorghum. Sweet, fruity, peppered. Pours light copper. Flavor doesnít have much going on. A little sweet. Dry finish. Nothing bad but nothing to seek out.

Sweet tart fruit smell, sort of a bad saison thing like many sorghum beers. Copper-yellow, with the bubbles of cider or champagne even. Taste is sweet yet doughy. Fizzy and prickly, otherwise a lightweight. Had one yesterday and didnít care for it at all, todayís is okay.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2014 This is my favorite gluten free beer, in the sense that it tastes the most like a normal beer. It is a dark brown color with a nice foamy head. It tastes like a lager with hints of wheat, hops, and malt.

Ok for a sorghum. No head. Citrus. Orange and lemon zest. Golden amber. Really light.
