Pretty nasty. Amber pour, small head. Aroma is grainy and some hops might be noticeable. Flavor is not very good. Bland and watery. Move along.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Leighton (6989) - London, ENGLAND - JUL 12, 2010
Bottle. Pours a clear russet with a light, white head. Moderately sweet nose, good amounts of corn, some apple, very faint, earthy hops detectable. Flavor is sweet and a lot like cider. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes sweet with notes of...sorghum. Not bad, exactly.

A: The pour on this beer is light orange-amber in color with a small white head.
S: Smells...strange. A strong aroma of menthol. There are certainly some bandaids mixed in there. A bit of grass and dry malt extract. Light popcorn to it as well as a touch of mint.
S: Tastes worse, somehow. Lots of green apple which gives a slight sourness, but not in a good way. Heavy on the popcorn with more bandaids and menthol. It tastes of wet paper or cardboard. Definitely a hint of rubber, too.
M: The body is light, very light, with medium carbonation.
O: I hate you Bobby. This was awful.
1.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 DocLock (6800) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 4, 2007
Deep copper pour with some hop and caramel malt aromas, plus some rye hints. The palate is rather light in heft, and I got flavor notes of ryeish malt, some hops, and slight honey. This one isn’t putrid, but I wouldn’t drink it again. Give me gluten or give me death.
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Ughsmash (6671) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 25, 2007
Bottled. Poured clear lighter orange with a short cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up lemon, lighter fruits, and grapefruit along with a soft caramel base.. warmth brought out honeysuckle sweetness.. overall quite pleasant. The flavor took a turn for the worse.. a lightly acidic lemony bitterness prickled the tip of the tongue, and the middle was plagued with odd and unpleasant grainage (must’ve been the sorghum).. sticky vegetal notes and the honeysuckle again on the too-long finish.. a little pine bitterness showed occasionally, but didn’t provide much. Light-bodied on the palate and tacky.. higher carbonation.. didn’t flow well.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Drake (6507) - Ivy, Virginia, USA - JAN 7, 2013
12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a large fizzy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of nutty notes herbal and peppery hops. The taste is apples, nuts, honey, herbal hops and a tinny note. Medium bodied. Decent.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Dogbrick (6065) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 6, 2008
This brew pours a clear copper-amber color with a medium thick and fizzy off-white head that burns off quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of grain and bready malt. Light-bodied with a mildly bitter hops character, and flavors of sweet malt and caramel. The finish is short and lightly bitter. Below average and completely forgettable overall.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 shrubber85 (5985) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - MAY 5, 2007
Bottle. Corn malt aroma - hint of the sorghum. Medium amber with small head. Slight sweet corn malt aroma with a mild bitter finish and moderate carbonation and acidity - really don’t get much of a sorghum flavor with this which is probably a plus for many people but I enjoy it. Nevertheless, this is a nice drinking beer and as others have stated, a Godsend for beer drinkers on a gluten free diet. I personally wouldn’t mind more sorghum beers on the market.
