RSRIZZO (1021), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Sep 16, 2007 Had on 7/1/2007. Aroma is sweet with nice hop tones. Color is a bright gold with very good carbonation and nice but looses head. Taste is bitter and cidery. Starting with a light/medium body that goes down crisp. Finish comes in with a mild cider like feel and a sweet flavor, this is backed by a light hop flavor and a full bitterness. I am surprised this is not bad and is much better then most of the stuff AB makes.
ansermadide (236), Kyle, Texas, USA Sep 28, 2008 (12oz bottle from Spec’s on September 22, 2008) Drank straight out of the bottle, so I have no idea what this stuff looks like. But let me just say this: for a sorghum brew, this is pretty good. You can’t even taste the sorghum. Of course, being brewed by AB, it reeks of macrobrew, but for those who can’t do gluten but still want their beer, this tastes normal. For that, I’m impressed. kassner (182), Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 27, 2008 Bottle from three Sons. Golden color , no head, funky dry hop atse with washcloth finish, clean, some unusuaual hints of spice. carbonation seems high. Not going to make it unless more notes from the sorgum are developed to produce a unique beer. marcus (1051), Sacramento, California, USA Sep 24, 2008 This reddish gold beer poured with a decent off-white head and a rather skunky "cheap beer" aroma. There is a sour funky flavor - I guess that’s the sorghum - with a soapy finish. Slightly better than Bud. hopson (498), Williamsville, New York, USA Sep 19, 2008 bottle- remarkably better than I was expecting- some noticeable hop flavor, and very clean. Not at all sour or sharp as some suggest sorghum beers tend to be. Drinkable, and way better than Bud, one of AB’s other products. crazyvin (1090), New York, USA Sep 17, 2008 Nice sweet malty flavor initially, mostly brown sugar. This had a rather disappointing after taste. I found it to be astringent, almost like medicine.
