IlanMan (575), Winona, Minnesota, USA May 17, 2008 Can’t agree more with Swalden below me. Unless there is a shortage of barley or wheat, don’t but this beer. This beer basically tastes like a bud-light masked with some food coloring and perhaps a little more syrupy flavor. If you didn’t know, that means it’s bad. Won’t buy again.
checkmatei1 (275), Willow Grove, USA Oct 10, 2008 Bottle: Poured a golden yellow with not much head. The aroma was beer. The flavor was somewhat sour with a hint of hops. Overall, between Bud and this, go with this. ansermadide (237), Kyle, Texas, USA Sep 28, 2008 (12oz bottle from Spec’s on September 22, 2008) Drank straight out of the bottle, so I have no idea what this stuff looks like. But let me just say this: for a sorghum brew, this is pretty good. You can’t even taste the sorghum. Of course, being brewed by AB, it reeks of macrobrew, but for those who can’t do gluten but still want their beer, this tastes normal. For that, I’m impressed. kassner (184), Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 27, 2008 Bottle from three Sons. Golden color , no head, funky dry hop atse with washcloth finish, clean, some unusuaual hints of spice. carbonation seems high. Not going to make it unless more notes from the sorgum are developed to produce a unique beer. marcus (1058), Sacramento, California, USA Sep 24, 2008 This reddish gold beer poured with a decent off-white head and a rather skunky "cheap beer" aroma. There is a sour funky flavor - I guess that’s the sorghum - with a soapy finish. Slightly better than Bud. hopson (501), Williamsville, New York, USA Sep 19, 2008 bottle- remarkably better than I was expecting- some noticeable hop flavor, and very clean. Not at all sour or sharp as some suggest sorghum beers tend to be. Drinkable, and way better than Bud, one of AB’s other products.
