A belgian style ale aged in whiskey barrels with drie fonteinen yeast added. This has the same base beer as Cuvee 3 without the dry hopping, barrel aging, and different yeast profile.

Thanks to ericandersnavy for sharing this bottle. Yellow with a white head. Aroma is full of flowers, wheat and pepper. Flavor is light funk and tartness, with some lemons and oranges thrown in. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

The aroma was my favorite part. Floral, fruity, Belgian yeast and indications of a sour. Nice brownish golden color with white head. Somewhat cloudy. The taste somewhat resembled the aroma but there were hints of whiskey and a sharpness that reminded me of Brett. Some hops bitterness. Dry finish and clean palate. Easy to drink. Good first impression of this brewery.

750. Pours a cloudy orange color with a large white head. A big bretty nose with some oak. Very smooth peppery notes with huge brett, actually some big sourness almost in lacto territory, very earthy. Nice. Nothing close to whiskey, a big funky brew.

Pilsner malt, some definite funkiness in aroma. Gold, hazy, thin head. Flavor: light spicy phenols, pilsner malt, a little earthy, leathery note. Nice, drinkable and refreshing ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thanks, Beerboy! Another nice brew from this slept-on Sooner crew. Love the pour, a shimmering pale gold with a sticky, rocky head. Nose is righteous, with tons of hops and tart notes too. Bright and citric taste backed up by powerful bretty/Fonteiny funk and a nice dry finish. Would never have guessed at the whiskey barrels, as this was basically absent from the taste to me. No matter, since this was a fine brew in all regards.

27-AUG-2012, bottle @Papsø. Hazy, almost milky golden with lasting white head. Yeast and tart aroma with lemon. Taste is citric with a little funk, a little bourbon, a little tartness. Very, very fresh. Funny brew but very tasty.
