Bottle from a generous trader; shared with Jcwatts. Pours cloudy orange with off white head. Nose and taste of coriander, orange peel, fruity hops, apricot pit, peach, yeast and sea salt. Medium body. Finishes mostly dry.

A - Hazy golden orange with a huge foamy head with excellent retention. Good lacing from top to bottom. S - Pine, herbal, floral, apple skins, pepper, spicy yeast, unripe banana, hints of musty yeast come out when warm T - Woody pine, orange cream citrus then turns sweet with tropical fruits, mango, apricot, granny smith apples move in with some earthy spice, and pepper. Acidic toward the dry finish. M - Medium body, moderate active carbonation. Good complexity, nicely layered with a dry finish. A fine Saison that hits all the marks. Serving type: bottle 10-04-2011

I think this is a somewhat underrated beer. Quite pleasant and surprising. For a Saison it had a floral hop aroma. The color was cloudy like a pear cider. The head was enormous. Clean and weighty palate with a moderate carbonation. The flavors were big and mixed. Hops up front but Belgian champagne yeast. Some fruitiness but earthy essences as well. Really unique.

750ml bottle poured into snifter. Sent as an extra, and what a sweet surprise this was. Aroma has sweet hints of lemon oil, hops and yeast. Flavor is a bit champagne like but mostly dry. Aroma is definitely better then the flavor, which is sort of a let down for me.

Cloudy yellow in color with a huge, rocky, white head. The nose has a great floral and citrus hop aroma with a touch of grass. Light funk and yeast to it with some bread and cracker malts. Just a hint of sweet fruit. The flavor is dry and crisp with a moderate yeast flavor. Mild fruit (pear, apple) with a bit of citrus. Decently floral and a hint of grass. Nice hop character overall.

Nose has some floral hops. Flavor has a bit of spice and malt. Dry. High carbonation. Touch of fruit. Not too exciting.

Big thanks to Beerboy9960 for sending this! Nice dark orange pour, huge head from the bottle conditioning, and a massive floral aroma (seems more than just Simcoe, maybe some genuine fleurs and shit). Champagne yeast and dry hopping combined so well with the spiciness of the saison, YUM. The only patch on this was an occasional soapiness in the taste, but still really enjoyable.

750mL bottle. Poured brighter golden with a ridiculously tall cap of white head and some rising carbonation.. I’m talking 6" head to 1" of liquid. The aroma picked up fresh, bright cloves, coriander, lemon zest, and dank fruity/floral hops over a soft pale base.. I really dug it. The flavor opened tart, with lemon zest, oak, and cloves leading.. pale malt and a touch of fruity meat supported.. white pepper, cloves, and catty bitterness around.. finished dry and tart, carrying through a lot of spices. Light-medium bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. hoppy for a saison, but that was the intent, and it worked well.. very good brew.

Bottle. Pours a hazy pale gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has notes of light grain, cookies androids with a bit of backing citrus hops. Flavor has citrus and grapefruit up front with backing sweet grains and Belgian yeast.

Enjoyed at the Black Friday Tasting courtesy of swillbur pouring up totally opaque grapefruit juice with off white head. The aroma has apples, yeastiness, spices and a touch of raisin like fruit sweetness. The taste is similar with sweet green apples, yeasty spices as well as other more modest levels of assorted fruit notes. This is smooth and refreshing mixing with a yummy type tartness that compliments nicely.
