6 Simple malty sweet aroma.

12 Adequate bitter. No way is this premium/ESB. Unless ’ESB’ stands for ’extremely simple bitter’.

Half pint, cask in fine shape at The Castle, Holborn. Dark amber content. Naked surface. Inviting smell of dried fruits. Caramel malts in flavour mixed with leafy hops. Modest bitter finish. The smell promised a bit more than the flavoured could hold. Soft carbonated (London, 03.08.2009).

Amber colour very light and hoppy bitter. Does not look like a typical summer beer. Tastes almost identical to youngs ordinary only it has more malt character. Uninspiring but drinkable beer.
