COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big bold and surprising This is our interpretation of the classic pale ale. You’ll sense fresh fruit flavours with a rich caramel smoothness and a lasting bitterness on the finish. Brewed using the very best maris otter pale malt and an adventurous blend of American and New Zealand sourced hops. 5.5% abv

Bottle at home from Oddbins London bridge. Cloudy Orange, thin persistent white head. Aroma is strawberry vanilla ice cream, with some pine hop, Flavour is mid sweet, clean assertive bitterness. Malt is balanced biscuit, but plays a supporting role. Hop flavour is lime, pine and grapefruit. Decent

UPDATED: JUN 14, 2013 Petty tasty classic pale ale really, nothing particularly jumps out, but not in a bad way. Crisp, bitter, looks like strongbow, moderately fruity, quite clear. Hint of sawdust in the aroma. This is in no way a bitter!

Bottle from Queens Head. Bright yellow pour with a medium white head. Nose is quite tropical and citric. Lychee and grapefruit very prominent. Lychee in the taste, a touch grassy. Lengthy grapefruit finish. Solid. Great for a bitter

Bottle from Oddbins West Hampstead. A hazy dark orange brown in colour with huge big dollops of sediment. Hoppy ale with lots of fruity new world hop flavours. A well executed if slightly generic version of a modern pale ale, which sounds harsher than it is meant to be.

330ml bottle. Filmy dark golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Piney, minimally herbal hoppy aroma, hints of orange, slightly sweaty caramel malty undertones. Taste is dry, herbal, piney and minimally soapy hoppy, subtle malt sweetness. Well hopped, takes it close to an APA.

Keg @ The Fox 2014/4/22 - This one is getting better. Nice foamy head. Good head retention. Cloudy. Nice aroma and bitterness. A little astringent and unbalanced for my liking.

Bottle from an Odd Bins near the Earl’s Court station. Pours hazy amber with a slight white head. Main aroma is light stone fruit. Almost ripe peach. Near full in body. Flavor is slight citrus, but there’s more fruit and moderate caramel. It finishes quite bitter. Almost enough hop to start a burn. It’s certainly worthy.

33 cl bottle. BBE 19.02.2014.
Pours golden color with a medium sized frothy head. Aroma of very caramelly and floral, some nettle and fruity hops also. Flavor of citrus fruits, resiny hops, pale malts, mild goose berries and caramel. Bitter fruity palate. Very appealing aroma with a refreshing taste. More like an APA than ESB. Very nice.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a hazy golden amber colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of strong fresh floral hops, gooseberries and grass. Flavour of strong floral hops, mango, resin, gooseberries, grass and biscuity malts. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Rather refreshing and enjoyable. Good stuff.
