Tap at the brewery, London. Pours lightly hazy gold with a fine, foamy white head. Well toasted malts in the nose, ripe citrus, hints of smoke, caramel. Huge sweet flavor, tons of fruit sugars, modest ham and smoke, honey, ripe grapefruit and orange, toasty sugars. Full bodiwd with fine carbonatiIon. A touch syrupy. Big resinous finish, mild warmth, plenty more ripe citrus fruits and accompanying sugars, mellow smokey ham. Very interesting stuff. Somewhere between a DIPA and a barley wine, with a hint of some tossed in for good measure. I happen to love it, but a straight-ahead DIPA it is not.

Keg at Bat. Hazy dark copper/orange, no head to speak of. Pithy, oily grapefruit and blood orange on the nose. Touch of light alcohol. Oily, petrol flavour but mostly dry, with resinous pine and grapefruit notes. Soft bittersweet finish at first, then crescendos to an arresting bitterness. A soft alcohol warmth. Needs a few more hops, but a pretty decent effort. Sadly absolutely zero carbonation here though.

[keg at the Redchurch Brewery tap] Slightly hazy golden apricot colour, with a generous white head from the exuberant key-keg pour. Grapefruit and pineapple on the nose, as well as rich caramel. On the taste, earthy bitterness, warming caramel sweetness, honey and alcohol on the finish. A cracker [07032013]

On tap at Man in the Moon, January 2013. Dark golden with a small white head. Hoppy aroma and taste with citrus, grape and caramel. Nicely balanced with a nice bitterness. Really drinkable for the beer style.

Guest ale on keg at BrewDog Shoreditch. Spotty lacing, headless, unclear apricot body colour. Dried fruity hops to the nose. Rich taste of dried fruity hops upheld by fresh grapefruit bitterness to the finish. Warming alcohol. Full bodied. Nice (London, 05.11.2012).

Keg at brewdog shoreditch, 7th November 2012, good beer, nice aroma, palate is clean, full of flavour, good balance, familiar end, like a stronger version of the Great east IPA, which is a great beer

Frovigalning (2041) - Örebro, SWEDEN - NOV 1, 2012
On tap at Bishops Arms in Örebro. Relatively weak aroma considering the style, but its easy to smell the hops. Mostly fruity and citrusy hops. The taste was stronger, fruity and hoppy with a noticable but not overpowering bitterness. Not a hop monster but still a nice beer.

Svesse (5241) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - OCT 31, 2012
(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 29 Sep 2012) Golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit and resinous hops. Malty, fruity taste with grapefruit, blood orange, caramel and lots of resinous hops in a finish with a generous bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Very tasty with an impressive hop presence and a solid malt structure to back it up. Very nice.
