Bottle from Oddbins London Bridge. Sticky resiny piney IPA. Yep a decent American style IPA. Yep an overly sticky IPA. Good, but a touch unbalanced, but it’s a good American style IPA.

Hazy honey colour, with a thin foamy white head. Aroma of skunky, floral hops, orange and bready malt. Taste is sweet at first and a long bitter finish. Oily texture with moderate carbonation. Very tasty beer.

Bottle from Sebright Arms. Wish the beer was as good as the burgers! No glass given with the stubby. Loads of toffee and light bitterness. Not a lot of hops. Maybe it wasn’t fresh. Not very good

33cl bottle. Pours hazy deep gold with fairly thick white head. Aroma is sweet mango, tangerine, pineapple, sugary refresher bar, lime. Taste follows suit with a decent tropical whack, some biscuit malt, a bit of spruce and pine, grapefruit, waxy orange, and yeastiness. A bit thin. Medium-dry finish. Lingering waxy bitterness. Very tasty and easy drinking - could have sworn this was closer to 5% ABV than 7+.

Nose is tropical fruits, kiwi, grapefruit and a touch of peach. Taste, is pine, resin, grapefruit peel, and herbs. The slight undercut of sweet honey, is what gives some distinction in a common style. Bitter finish is lasting. Mouthfeel is nice and full. Every brewery has an American style IPA, and this is as a good example of it with some differentiation in taste, but sometimes it’s better to lead than follow...

Keg at Vintage, Leith. It pours hazy gold with a small white head. The nose is full of tropical fruit... Five alive fruit juice, orange, tangerine, mango, papaya and guava. The taste is zesty orange, tangerine, bold bitterness, resin, light toast, peppery/spicy element and some alcohol warmth with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Tasty fruity IPA. Rather impressed with this one, well done Redchurch!

33 cl bottle. BBE 02/2014.
Pours dark hazy copper color with medium sized white head. Very appealing floral and caramelly aroma, sweet fruit candy, hops and pine. Very slick palate with lots of sweetish fruity flavors, caramel malts, surprisingly some chocolaty(!) notes and mild goose berries. Medium carbonation with a sweetish malty finish. Very nice.

33cl bottle, bb 9 02 2014. Dark amber, unclear color, thin, lasting white head. Tropical fruity aroma, pineapple, mango, floral notes, fresh. Musty flavor with strong piney notes, herbal wibes leading to a very bitter finish. Chewy, strong, full bodied, closer to a DIPA. Could be more balanced.

Idiosynkrasie (1979) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - APR 14, 2013
330ml bottle. Cloudy amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Resinous hoppy aroma, fruity notes of peach and citrus, caramel malty basis with a biscuit touch. Taste is bitter hoppy on a caramel malty basis, citrusy, fruity, slightly biting bitter hoppy in the middle part; sticky palate.

lusikka (4124) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 23, 2013
330 ml bottle.
Pours a cloudy amber orange colour with a small foamy head. Aroma is very rich with citrusy hops, floral notes and some biscuit. Flavour of strong biscuity malts, citrusy hops, floral notes, grapefruit, some alcohol and sweet exotic fruitiness. Medium bodied, rough mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Alcohol warms a bit. Finishes malty, high on bitterness and light sweet. Very nice bitterness. Enjoyable.
