2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle in a BYOB, not as cold as Iíd have liked, BB May 2014. A murky brown with a decent foamy white head. Smell is caramel, orange, nutmeg. Medium mouthfeel. Taste is weird - medicinal up front, astringent lemon and spice. Not joined up. This isnít pressing my buttons at all and I didnít finish it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; cloudy dark amber pour with thin beige head, earthy hop aroma, taste has piney hop caramel, some sourness got a hint of coffee which means my taste buds need rewiring.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home bought at the brewery where I also enjoyed it on tap. Clear amber/red with an off white head, leaving lacing in the glass. Pungent aroma of new world hops which also come through in the flavour. Interesting malt profile with a hint of chocolate. Nice oily resinous late hopped palate. Reminds me a little of Brewdog 5am Saint when it first appeared. The bottle was better than the keg IMO. Redchurch are a class act.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft from Redchurch Brewery on 3 August 2013.
Poured an amber colour with a medium white head. Aroma of ripe tropical fruit, pine and golden syrup. Bready malt flavours with caramel and some citrus hops. Palate of dried fruit, toffee and a little resin.

Iíd also have called this a pale ale rather than a bitter. But thatís good with a IPA fan like me. A good broad base of coppery, citrusy hops offsetting sweetish malts.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Quite dark with a fat head, not a classic best bitter, half way to a Hoppy pale ale. Pretty tasty, with some tropical fruit and peaches, some sweet and toasted malts and some murky off notes to balance things out.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle. Clear ruby red dark amber colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Piney, herbal hop aroma, a touch of grapefruit. Taste is minimally bitter hoppy, piney, a touch of chalk, a sweaty touch of resin, chocolately malt basis. Slightly dirty - nice.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
330 ml bottle.
Pours a dark copper colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of berries, grass, bread and some chocolate. Flavour of strong biscuity malts, yeast, strong sour berries, grassy hops, bread and some grapefruit. Medium bodied, rough mouthfeel and a rough, yeasty, malty, grassy finish. Nice bitterness but overall a messy beer.

Yep. Golden golden. Exactly what I look for in a golden. Loads of hops, some strength. Lots of citrus hop flavour from hops with a kick. Well done RC. Not the church that is, you can frankly go away. Now.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle in south place hotel, moorgate, 5th march 2013. Does not pour gold, more red brown. Good flavour, nice and tasty beer, also had the Bethnal pale that evening, which had the edge. Live the redchurch beers at the moment
