fiulijn (13533) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 25, 2013
Draught at the brewpub in Singapore
Mad scientist green color with small head. There is basically no aroma or flavor of beer, a light vegetable and minty touch; dry overall.

Pours light green with white head and not much aroma. Taste is light and so is the aftertaste. Easy drinking

gnoff (7471) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - AUG 13, 2013
Draught at the brewpub on July 9, 2013.
Part of a 6 beer sample tray/flight.
Info stated the beer to be at 5.5% ABV.
Clear green (yes, green) color, white head. Looks fantastic! Sweet, malty, a tiny bit grainy taste. Herbal finish. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness. Sweet, malty scent. Other than the color the beer is non distinct and perhaps even boring.

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 8/20
rarbring (1094) - Linköping, SWEDEN - JAN 10, 2013
Aroma: Smelling of fruit jello, pears and peaches.
Appearance: A clear GREEN beer. A white head with small lacing and small curtains.
Taste: Tasting sweet, bread, fruit marmalade and hay.
Palate: Low carbonation, a soft texture. A small body with a slightly dry finish.
Overall: Not much of a beer. Off-putting color and aroma.
Note: On-tap at RedDot. Reviewed 2013-01-10.

Draft @ RedDot pours a green with some lacing. smell is faint and indistinguishable. taste is slightly sweet, a little malt, and grassy.

BelgianBeerGal (3023) - Dayton Area, Ohio, USA - JUL 27, 2012
Draft at Dempsey Rd. It was pretty amazing that they got a beer that vivid green without drastically altering the flavor. Unremarkable except for the color. *The description here leaves out the part where they claim spirulina can help cure HIV!

Lubiere (9440) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 20, 2011
A martian green beer with a thin white head. In aroma, light faint mint and faint malt. In mouth, a boring lager, faint malt, so-so. On tap at brewpub, July 11 2011.

Oakes (11866) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 9, 2010
Bright green Kool-Aid colour. Green head. Smells a bit like the pilsner. Soft body. Lightly bready, maybe even doughy. This is not bad, but not as much spirulina character as the one you get at Man Han Lou in Phnom Penh. For me, a bit of dud.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 14/20
Beershine (5196) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - APR 8, 2010
Draft @ Craft Brews KL. Lime jello green, bright and fun. Not a brew for the uptight human. Aroma is similar to the pils only more floral and with a hint of mint. The thin palate finishes nicely dry with a good splash of chlorophyll. Comes across as having a much milder algae quality than the spirulina beer brew from the brewpub in Phnom Penh. Nice nutty grain aftertaste. Also good enough for seconds. A nice surprise.

Draught at Red Dot, Singapore. Appears sickly green with a small white head. There is no aroma at all, honestly. The flavour is light malt and ’greeness’ whatever that is, that’s all. I’m not sure if Spirulina actually contributes anything to the beer, but the tasting notes mention something about this beer eliminating the AIDS virus?!?!?! I must be drunk...
