3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at the brewpub on July 9, 2013.
Part of a 6 beer sample tray/flight.
Hazy straw yellow color, white head. Banana, sweet taste. Dry phenolic sort of light acidic finish. Sweet, banana scent. Fizzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.
Not bad, but lacks some character.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Boat Quay. This was a pretty good weizen to me. It leaned more towards a touch of citrus but then banana and spice was still there. Pretty nice on a hot, sticky afternoon.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tap at the brewpub. This wasn’t bad, nice cloudy yellow colour, some of the right wheat beer clove spiciness, not too fizzy. Nice and quenching in the heat.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
A hazed pale yellow weizen with a thin lacing creamy white head. In aroma, classic bananas and cloves, light lemon, not bad. In mouth, a light weizen with light banana esters, chalky and boring. On tap at brewpub, July 11 2011.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
After the marvelous Hefes I had already had in Singapore this was an enormous disappointment. No real wheat character ... no citrus, no banana, no clove, nothing. Indeed, nothing describes it perfectly. Looked like a Hefe and felt like a hefe in the mouth, but no really nose and no real taste. If a mass brewer had made a pseudo-Hefe, this would be it.

Hazy blonde. Banana aroma. Tart, fresh wheat character with good balance. Light banana and phenols. A decent weizen.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft @ Craft Brews KL. Bright egg yolk yellow. Stable thick head. Spritzy lemon-lime aroma. High carbonation but not too fizzy and the palate is soft. Nice lemon tartness throughout and good wheat malt character. Not a sweet, estery weizen, more a refreshing dry one. Is pretty thin but drinks well and is nice enough to order a second.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draught at Red Dot, Singapore. Hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of wheat, spice and banana ester. Soft carbonation and low bitterness. While this beer is nothing special I have had worse weizens in my time.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Has the apperance of a wheat ale - dull light gold/yellow and cloudy. The aroma will neither entice or repel. Very slight hint of fruit and spice in terms of aroma. It’s a liitle too gassy. Can be refreshing if you are really thirsty or, if your itch for a gulp overtakes you. Identifiable wheat malt flavour but, too little presence. Although microbrewed, it’s not distinctively rich enough in character and lacks the "home cooked" element to stand apart from mass produced bottled/canned beer. Very light body with no palate reaction, it will see you through a meal safely nonetheless. My feel is that it’s hard for this brew to clash with most foods.
