Tastes like Bud Light mixed with Woodchuck...

Bottle: The aroma consists of apple juice with a hint of cinnamon. It pours a transparent dull gold with a small fizzy white head that quickly fades to a very fine ring. Once it settles, it almost looks still. The flavor starts with straight apple juice. The finish might have a touch of cinnamon. Itís light bodied with lightly fizzy carbonation. Overall, if you like apple juice, I find it hard to be offended by this cider. Itís about as far from world class as it is from offensive. I guess Iím not as picky as most, but seriously, how offensive is apple juice. Itís not what I want in a beer, but itís hardly disgusting on a hedonistic scale. Itís an easy drinking summer refresher.

Most ciders give me immediate heartburn, this "ale" doesnít. This is the reason for the higher rating. Decent nose, pleasant crispness, super easy drinking summer beer.

12oz bottle, shared by Lindsey. Totally clear golden orange color. Minimal off-white head. Nose aroma is exactly like an apple cider. Light tart, but less than in your typical cider. More sweet, but not cloying, not bad. Some decent cinnamon. Medium body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Mildly sticky in the finish. Not that bad.. Very cider-like.

Can, ďthanksĒ Mitch. Pours mostly clear gold thin white head. Smells like apple candy with a touch of grain. Very empty flavor wise. Light apple, very watery. Not much going on. Not offensive or bad, just really empty.

Bottle: A quick pour yields a large, but short-lived fizzy white head. Lots of bubbles. Smells of apple cider, actually quite good and fresh. The flavor seems a bit watered down, but it bears a strong resemblance to sparkling cider. I guess Iíll plead ignorance to the defining requirments of the two styles, but this seems to be more of a cider than fruit beer.

Bottle. Light yellow color. Aroma of apples. Flavor is apple juice. Reminds me of a wine cooler with less carbonation. Its not terrible. In fact its reasonably drinkable, but like a lot of these fruity macro beers its not very memorable.

Did not know this was from miller. Tastes better than expected. From a clear bottle. Yes, it almost looks like apple juice. Pretty good friendly fruit beer. Is remeniscent of sweeter macro popular hard apple ciders.Goes down way too easy, wew. Borders on a candy apple malt pop. Plenty of unfermented sugars in this one, but I enjoyed it. Could drink another. Near the end of the bottle it does have a slight artificial feel.

If you got this beer and found yourself disappointed and upset with it, frankly itís your own damned fault. What could you have expected from a Miller fruit beer other than a twist of flavor applied to a mass produced (and frankly not that good) beer. I genuinely enjoyed Reddís Apple Ale, because I knew immediately what I was getting. It wasnít going to be a delicate, deep, flavorful brew. It was going to be a beer that tasted like apples. Guess what: thatís what it is! Itís not as heavy as a cider (which is actually great) and neither is it as sweet. Itís more like a sour apple juice with beer in it. Is it good? Sure! Is it a good BEER? UmÖ no. no it isnít. Iíd be lying if I didnít say I enjoyed and finished every bottle of the pack I bought (after accidentally breaking one of them in the store and getting stuck with the other five) but Iíd also be lying if I didnít say this beer would be more appropriately served out of a sippy cup. Itís just a tart apple drink and certainly more like a cider than a beer.

Hahaha. I didnít know anything about this beer and was told it was an ale Also didnít know it was owned by Miller. Sweet Cider. Just a highly girly cider. Tap, or had no head. Looks like a slightly darker Miller. Carbonated. Tastes like an apple juice made from chemicals. Very sad.
